Jamil and Kalim lead you and the boys down one of the stone paths.
"Okay, let's swing by my house before we get down to sightseeing!" Kalim grins.
"Is your place far?" Grim asks tiredly. "I'm all worn out and hot. It better not be hours away!"
Kalim shakes his head. "Nah, it doesn't take long to get there. You can see my house from here."
"Good to know." Trey sighs. "So how long of a walk is it?"
"Oh, that would take, uh... three or four hours, I think."
"Whaaat?" Cater exclaims. "But you just said we could see it from here. How could it take that long?"
"Which one's your house, Kalim?" Ttey asks.
"It's the one on that hill back there."
You look to where Kalim is pointing, your eyes widen when you see it. The building's not a house, it's more like a palace. It's even similarly styled to the Scarabia dorm back at school.
"Woah..."
"Whoa!" Cater seems just as surprised. "You can clearly see it even this far away! How big IS that place?"
"That's less of a house, and more like a theme park castle." Trey says.
Jamil smirks, amused by your surprise. "The Asim estate is a well-known fixture in Silk City. If you told a taxi driver to take you there, they'd know exactly where to go."
"People come to admire it all the time." Kalim adds. "Tour buses drive by too."
"So what you're saying is, it's a literal tourist attraction..." Trey shakes his head.
"How will we get over there, though?" Malleus asks. "I wouldn't mind flying, of course."
"Don't worry, I've called a car for us." Jamil informs.
"And there it is!" Kalim points to a limo that pulls over. "All aboard, everybody."
"What's with this huge car?" Cater asks as your group approaches the car.
"I didn't even know they MADE cars this long!" Trey exclaims. "What's the specs on it?"
"It's fifteen meters long, custom-made, and comes fully equipped with refrigerators and massage chairs." Jamil states. "We use it when picking up VIP guests."
Kalim nods. "Mom and Dad arranged it when I told them I was bringing some school friends to visit. After all, who's more important than your friends?"
Trey runs a hand through his hair. "This might be all right for Malleus since he's royalty, but it feels a bit much for the rest of us. Don't you think, Cater?"
Cater laughs as he grabs his phone. "C'mon, Trey, lighten up! We're gonna ride in style! I may never get a chance to be chauffeured like a celebrity again. Gotta take experiences where you can! Here we go! Hashtag #StartingOffRight #CelebVibes #Shiny #ScaldingSands" Yeah, that'll do! I'll post that later."
"Why not now?" Malleus asks.
"Well, we're outside of school, and Kalim and Malleus are with us." Cater answers. "Prolly best to avoid broadcasting our exact location. I'd hate to wind up on Jamil's bad side if Kalim got kidnapped because of info I posted."
"Oh, so it's a safety thing. Smart." Trey scratches the back of his head. "I hadn't even thought of that. I'll have to be more careful."
Cater shrugs with a smile. "But hey, that just means I'll have plenty of time to play around with filters. I'll be sure to post some nice pics of you too, Trey."
