A little earlier, the boys on the other team and Stitch gather on the beach next to the trees.
Lilia grins. "Now that we've split into groups, it's time TO HIT THE BEACH!"
Azul sighs. "Can we save the fun and games for later, Lilia? Provisions are our priority at the moment."
"Okay, but what does that involve?" Ace asks. "I don't know where to start."
Lilia hums in thought. "Well, our first order of business is simple enough: finding water. Even without proper food, you can survive for days as long as you have water."
"Ah, of course!" Azul grins. "Hydration is an essential part of living on land."
Ace shrugs. "Now that you're pointing it out, it's pretty obvious. Guess that just didn't occur to me." He looks to Lilia. "Oh, I get why you said we should hit the beach now! For water!"
Lilia shakes his head. "That's not why. No matter how thirsty you are, you must never, ever drink seawater. It will only dehydrate you."
Ace quirks an eye. "Then why did you suggest the beach?"
"Because I wanted some fun in the sun."
Stitch grins and nods his head.
"Are you kidding?" Ace exclaims. "Do you even care that we're in a struggle for survival?"
"We can't survive on seawater...?" Azul sighs and shakes his head. "Why must human bodies be so inconvenient?"
Lilia waves them off. "Oh, don't fret. Luckily, I spotted a waterfall when I was getting my aerial view yesterday. I'll lead the way. We'll find plenty of potable water there."
Lilia leads them through the trees to a rocky clearing. A small waterfall cascades into a clear, turquoise pool. Surrounding the pool are rocky formations with some greenery, including tropical plants and palm trees that lean over the water. A river with crystal clear water cuts through the rocks. The scene is so tranquil and beautiful.
Ace lets out a sigh. "What a nice, cool breeze! I lucked out getting on Team Provisions."
Lilia chuckles. "Isn't the water lovely? It's so clear, you can see the bottom of the basin. All right, let's quench our thirst!"
Rushing to the river, the boys scoop water into their hands. Drinking the water and splashing it onto their faces.
"Whew, that's cold!" Ace grins. "I feel alive again!"
"Agreed." Azul nods. "I don't think water's ever tasted so good to me before. Judging from the smooth way it goes down, l believe this is soft water."
"Whoa, you can tell what kinda water this is just by drinking it?" Ace laughs. "That's amazing."
Azul smirks. "I have something of a discerning palate, yes."
"I haven't had water this good in years, myself." Lilia says. "This is a true gift of nature. I suspect it's safe to drink as-is, but I hear youths these days tend to have more delicate stomachs than the people of yore. Considering how much of this we'll be drinking, we should probably boil it just in case."
Stitch tilts his head, his ears perked up. He rushes off into the trees, quickly returning with a large metal pot made for the scrap metal from the sharks.
"Oh hey, a pot." Ace picks up the pot. "You want us to use this for boiling? It's pretty big. This could be handy for hauling the water in, too."
"Ace. Azul. Would you mind if I left you two to handle this?" Lilia asks.
