Before we start this chapter, I just want to say something to all of my amazing readers.

As we celebrate the one year anniversary of this incredible journey, I wanted to reach out with my heartfelt gratitude. Your support, enthusiasm, and encouragement over the past year have made this journey as an author truly unforgettable. In this past year, we've shared stories, explored this amazing world, and connected in ways I could have only dreamed of. Knowing that my words have found their way into your hearts and minds is the greatest gift I could receive. Your reviews, messages, and unwavering support have been a constant source of inspiration, pushing me to keep writing and growing. Thank you for being here, for reading, and for believing in my story. I am beyond excited for what these next chapters hold, and I can't wait to continue this journey with you.

This special and original event was inspired by a fan who suggested it to me and it gave me the inspiration to make it the anniversary marker for starting this book one year ago. For those who also have any amazing ideas they'd love to share, feel free to send them to me and I'll try my best to incorporate them into the story. With that, let's get on to the story.

With all my love and appreciation,

Frostfire

Inside of the potions lab room, your class is taking a potions lesson under Crewel's supervision. Crewel taught the class how to conjure a potion to make one appear youthful then told the class to try making it themselves. The students split into pairs to make the potion. Since you and Grim share a table and are basically the same student, you both make the potion together. Ace and Deuce sit at the table to your left and work on their own potion.

Deuce picks up two vials of different colored liquids inside. "I can't remember if it I need to add two drops of mermaid tears and four of the dragons breath or if it's the other way around..."

Ace rolls his eyes. "I can't believe you just immediately forgot the whole lesson."

Deuce quirks an eye. "Oh, yeah? Than what was it?"

Ace smirks. "That's easy. It's... uh..." His smirk drops.

Deuce sets the vials back into place. "And you say I'm daft."

"Hey!" Ace scoffs. "I do too know what it is! I can create a potion far better without your help!"

Deuce folds his arms, gesturing to the mini cauldron on their table. "Then why don't you show us how it's done if you're so smart?"

Ace grins. "Believe me, I will." He grabs the vials. "I think it was four drops dragons breath and two of mermaid tears..."

Deuce tilts his head. "You 'think'?"

Ace waves him off. "Shush! I need no commentary from the peanut gallery."

You watch the two, feeling a little uneasy. "Oh, boy. This can't end good."

"Don't worry about those two and focus on our own potion!" Grim wears a little lab coat and glasses like the rest of the students.

You sigh, returning to your notes to figure out what to add next. The ingredients for the potion all have long and complicated names. You wonder how Vil became in expert in this stuff.

Grim picks up a sparkly purple vial and sniffs it. "This one smells real good!"

"Don't even think about it, Grim." Knowing Grim too well, you don't even need to look up from your notes to know what he's planning.
