Leona peers over the edge of the chariot. His arms folded as he watches Idia and Ortho get closer.

"Get all that?"

Jamil nods. "Yeah. I suspect another reason Riddle passed out is because he exhausted his magic using the Thunder Spear."

Leona scoffs. "Meanwhile, that cephalo-punk kept a little power back even when firing off their last blast. Couldn't even save Y/N himself. What a tightwad. Though in this case, it was the right call. If he hadn't done that, both him and the ginger brat would probably be plungin' headfirst into the Underworld."

"I mean, this is Azul we're talking about." Jamil tilts his head. "He probably knew Riddle would exhaust his reserves the moment they decided to stay down there. Riddle may be the top of our class, but he's also a notorious live wire. There's no stopping him once he's set off."

"That said." Leona grins. "They bought us enough time. I was able to sand most of the minions in the area. Now we can focus on the big guy. We can't aim at Radish Sprout since we might hit Y/N as well."

Jamil nods as the phantoms get closer. "The staff that were here have gone to the emergency hatch in sector one. But I'm wondering how smart it was for everyone to just leave this place."

"They were goin' at a snail's pace." Leona growls. "No way they would've shut the hatch before Idia and Ortho got here. If the goal is to stop 'em from getting out of Tartarus. Then it makes no difference which sector we do it in. Not to mention, it's a lot harder to use King's Roar with all those slowpokes gettin' in the way."

Jamil throws a glance at the lions way. "If this fight drags on too long, all our life will get drained. The key here will be knowing when to retreat."

Leona barks out a laugh. "You're thinkin' about retreating before the fight's even started. That's why you're a jack of all trades, but master of none. Lions give their all even when they're hunting rabbits." Leona glares down at Idia. "We're gonna turn their dreams to sand right here, right now."

Idia grins as he spots Leona's chariot. "Check it, Y/N. This time we've got a tank and melee DPS combo. Still no match for us, of course. We've got attack and regen buffs going off at every turn."

You clutch at Idia's chest. "No, please don't hurt them!"

Idia laughs. "Don't worry, Y/N. I won't hurt them. But I can't say the same for Ortho."

You watch helplessly as Ortho brings back a hand to hit the chariot.

Leona aims the spear, lightning sparks around him. "Guess this is it. We'll have to use the Thunder Spear. Hey, gimme a hand, will ya? Give the spear all the power you've got."

Jamil nods. "Understood."

With both their combined power, the spear glows brighter. The lightning growing more intense. Ortho swipes at the chariot but Jamil dodges, having the chariot circle around the phantom. Leona aims the spear, releasing a bolt of lightning that strikes Ortho in the chest.

Ortho staggers and clutches his chest. A scorch mark is left from the blast, smoke rising off of it.

Idia's fire turns red. "You absolute PEONS. You did it AGAIN! You're gonna pay for that!"

You flinch from Idia's sudden switch of attitude. His red flames warming your skin.

Leona growls. "Didn't finish the job."

Jamil grabs the side of the chariot, out of breath. "At least that should stop them for a while."

"My blot accumulation's through the roof. Must be all the blot shootin' up from the Underworld like some blasted geyser." With one last look to you, he reluctantly retreats. "We're gettin' outta here. Hey, Vil! And the nerd herd in the control room. Do you copy?"
