There was a bit of silence before I said something again.
"Wassup? What you thinking about?"
"Why I have this feeling that when we come back from this trip, something bad gon happen." She said. I could tell something was wrong by the look on her face.
"Why you say so?" I frowned as I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Like...my life's been way too quite lately." She answered and my jaw dropped a little.
"That's why you have a feeling something bad gon happen? Because your life been way too quite?" I tried my best not to laugh.
"I'm serious. Shits been too quiet. You know how in a horror-" I cut her off because I already knew what she was gonna say.
"Okay stop. Look nothing's gonna happen. Stop being negative and shit." I held her hand. Just then the waitress came with our drinks.
"Have you guys already decided on what you'll be having?" She looked at Onika.
"Yes." We told the woman what we wanted and he wrote our order on a small notepad. Once we were done ordering, she walked away.
"Why you cut me off?" She frowned. I knew she was gonna ask me that because she don't like no one cutting her off.
"Yous was thinking negative and now ain't the time to think negative. You just not used to life being quiet and peaceful." I shrugged.
"Well...okay." She smiled at me. We had a small conversation as we waited for our food.
Our food soon came and we dug in. I couldn't help but want to take a picture. A habit I'm picking up from Onika.
"Gimme your hand." I told her as I went into Instagram.
I held her hand and took a picture. She had a cheeky smile on her lips.
"Shut up." I looked up at her from my phone.
"I wasn't even gon say nun nigga." She mugged me.
"Yea you weren't." I quickly posted the picture and switched my phone off before eating my food again.
