Afr EAT: Afrikaans Eerste Addisionele Taal

N Scie: Natural Science

The picture above is my exam roster. I'm in grade 8. It's in English and Afrikaans (which is one of South Africa's official languages. We have 11 official languages for those who don't know)

Fun and sad fact for most English and Afrikaans-speaking learners:

For English-speaking learners, Afrikaans EAT is our second most important subject. English being the first and maths being the third. It's sad because if you fail any of the three subjects, you fail the term or year. I'm an English-speaking learner so Afrikaans is pretty much hard, not gon lie😥.

And for Afrikaans-speaking learners, English is their second most important subject. Afrikaans being the first for them and Maths being the third. It's also the same, you fail any of the three subjects, you fail the term or year.

(We have 4 Terms. Two semesters. In South Africa, we divided the two semesters into 4 schooling terms. Holidays in between each term.)

Most Government Schools have Afrikaans as their second important subject and English as their second most important subject.

I'll have to study very hard because last term was quite...unpleasant. So, I'll try to update on the usual days I'm supposed to be updating, if not then eish... ya that's all. I have nun else to say.
