Chapter 61: The myth of Minotaur!

Bakugo POV:
"You sure we are walking in the right direction?"
"Of course I am!"
"But haven't we been here before?"
"Everything looks the same! How the fuck would you know?"
"He is right, though. It does feel as though we are walking in circles."
"This is giving Backroom vibes."
"Both of you shut up! I know where to go!"

After walking around for a while following the arrows in the small, wooden box Deku suddenly spoke up: "When Minotaur said that this was his labyrinth I kind of expected something else." "What do you mean?" IcyHot asked. "Well have you never heard the myth of the awful Monster Minotaur and his labyrinth before?" "No, what's it about?" IcyHot asked. "It is a long story." "*sigh* Is there a short version?" I asked. "Not really but I can try to summarise it." "Please, do."

"Ok then.

Once upon a time, the ambitious Minos aspired to become king of Crete. In order to ascend the throne and legitimise his rule, he asked the sea god Poseidon for support in the form of a divine sign. The city of Crete received this sign when a white bull emerged from the sea. Minos had once promised the god that he would sacrifice this bull in his honour and thus honour Poseidon to the highest degree. But Minos changed his mind and sacrificed an ordinary bull. This mistake was to cost him dearly and Poseidon tricked Minos' future wife into uniting with this bull. The result was one of the most terrifying monsters in Greek mythology. People called the monster the Minotaur. His name was made up of the king's name and the Greek word for bull. In order to hide this disgrace from the world, Minos had the ingenious inventor Daedalus design a labyrinth in which he had the monster imprisoned. This labyrinth was impossible to escape from and anyone entering would soon die of hunger and thirst. Nothing left but bones in the narrow paths and a monster hiding in there for decades, trying its best to escape.

Later on the son of the inventor went into the labyrinth as well. He did that in order to slay the monster as far as I know."
"But wasn't he stuck in it too then?" Half n' half asked. "Hm. I remember there being something like him using a rope to find his way back." The nerd thought out loud. "It probably would have been smart doing something like that as well, no?" "With what rope, you dumbasses?" After I had said that it suddenly went quiet. To quiet. I turned around. Huh?! The Fuck. They were just behind me! Are those idiots not even able to follow me? Where did they make a wrong turn?! My insides started boiling. "THOSE IDIOTS!" I couldn't help but scream through the hallway. I was the only one with a directions giving tool as well. In that moment I was to pissed to even think. How was I supposed to find them?! Were they together or did I have to look for two people? I was close to exploding...

Midoriya POV:
"With what rope, you dumbasses?" Kacchan said. "Yeah, that would be a problem." Shoto answered. "Hopefully well-" As I looked up I suddenly came to a stop. "K-Kacchan?" I looked around. "Shoto?!" Fear stirred up in me. No, no, no, no! I hectically looked around but no one far and wide. Did they take a turn? When did they take a turn? My heart started beating like crazy and my breath got faster. I started running through the hallways looking into every side paths. In all the hectic running around I quickly lost orientation, not that I had any before. What am I suppose to do now?!

Todoroki POV:
"Yeah, that would be a problem." The moment I had finished my sentence the floor below my feet disappeared. All I heard before falling into the dark hole was Izu saying the word: Hopefully. It felt as though I was falling for at least two minutes. It was so dark I couldn't even see if there were walls around me. I soon lost my understanding of up and down as well as left and right. The feeling of having to puke had finally vanished but now that I was falling it came back. Oh God... The moment my eyes were blinded with light again I landed on my back. An opening above me closed as I opened my eyes. Everything was spinning. I tried sitting up but my dizziness pushed me right back down. I closed my eyes again, hoping I wouldn't have to actually puke.

A couple of minutes later I carefully opened them again. At last I was finally off the never-ending carousel. I sat up. The hallway I was in looked exactly the same as the one I had just been in. Oh great. All I knew was that I probably needed to head up to find the others considering I had fallen down. Then again this place didn't necessarily give me a lot of confidence in the regard of directions. I sighed. What now?

Midoriya POV:
After running around senselessly for a while I finally came to a stop. Out of breath and disoriented I let myself fall tho the ground and leaned against one of the walls. I placed my arms on top of my legs and buried my face in them. Tears stared streaming down my face. Where are they? Now I'm all alone again. "Oh dear, are you alright little one?" I looked up. In front of me was a gorgeous centaur. He had long light brown hair with a couple braided strands and beautiful curls. His horse part had the same brownish colour. He wasn't wearing a shirt but on all four legs he was wearing a different shoe. "There, there. No reason to cry." He leaned down and wiped away my tears. "Do you want me to take you with me for a little bit? I don't know why you are so upset but it most likely is caused by you being lost, no?" I nodded. He smiled then gave me his hand. Once I grabbed it he pulled me onto his back. "Feel free to rest. Oh, and who are you looking for?" "My friends. One has blond spiky hair and an angry expression the other one has white and red hair and an emotionless expression." He giggled. "By the way my name is Aegis Thunderhoof. What might yours be?" "Izuku Midoriya." "Let's find your two friends then, Mr. Midoriya." "Thank you, Mr. Thunderhoof!" He smiled. "It's always nice making new friends, isn't it?"
