Bakugo POV:
Our first day on the boat broke in. The sun was still low. Only half of it had risen but because of its reflection on the waters surface it looked as though we would sale through a liquidated sky with the universe around us. I enjoyed the first quiet moments of the day. The ocean was calm and even though a little cold the air felt fresh and untouched. Luckily there was still enough wind for our boat to continue moving forward. IcyHot had fallen asleep with his head on my lap a few hours ago. I couldn't bring myself to wake him in order for me to change shifts with someone. And I didn't mind much either. I watched as his chest went up and down as the door of the cabin suddenly opened. It was Deku. He rubbed his tired eyes. "You two have been out here the entire night? What if you catch cold?" he asked while closing the door behind him and walking over to us. "Don't worry, before she went to bed princess brought us a blanket out here." He sat down next to us and made himself comfortable in my shoulder. "You wanna nap for a little longer?" I asked and he nodded before cuddling up into a corner of the blanket. I enjoyed this moment of both Shoto and Izuku being at my side, cuddled up to me. No threat, no worries, just us and this beautiful morning.
The next few days we continued like this. Blindly following the compass north, taking turns making sure we didn't get off course. These were one of our more peaceful travels. Through the cabin we were protected from weather and nature, we had enough food and water and no one was interfering with our peace. Not even we ourselves. While I would have preferred us three would have been alone, this was fine. I lost count of how many days it had been until we saw the island Najwa had told us about. From a far it looked pretty normal and up close we were proven right. Apparently this was a trading place where a lot of travellers would come to sell and buy goods from around the world. This wouldn't only be useful in a sense of filling up our resources, we could also part with princess and her peasant who had a good chance to continue on their own from here on out. In addition us three had the chance of getting a lot of informanions on where we had to go to next.
Once we had gotten close enough I took a leap onto the shore. There I tied down the boat with a rope and helped the others get off as well. In order to be on the safe side IcyHot locked the door of our little hut and put the keys into his pant-pockets. We decided to first have a look around the place before departing with the two girls and therefore left there bags on board for now.
Soon after arriving we were already able to learn a lot about this new place. It was called Solmaris and is apparently the most popular and biggest trading place in this entire world. The streets were busy and everywhere you looked people would buy and sell as if the apocalypse was coming. The variety of beings was similar to that of Minatour's labyrinth. The other four desperately wanted to have a look around at all the things wich were sold here and once that was done we found ourselves a restaurant and bought some food and drinks.
After our needs were satisfied and the evening broke in we started looking for a place to stay tonight. Considering everyone around the globe traveled all the way here there were a lot off hotels, motels and inns no matter what direction you looked towards. After picking one that suited all our tastes Deku, princess and her peasant went inside to get two rooms while IcyHot and I went back to get our bags.
"Exciting day wasn't it?" Half n' half said while we walked through the dim evening on our way to the boat. The streets were still busy but not as full as they had been the rest of the day. "It was and I'm beat." "Oh, right. It's way past your bedtime isn't it?" "Stop giggling, extra!" After a few more silent steps IcyHot suddenly stoped. "Hey Kats? Didn't you enjoy these past few days? Wasn't it nice being together, having fun, being unbothered all the time?" I turned around and looked at him. "Sure..." Shoto seemed to hesitate. "Could you imagine having a live like this?" "What do you mean?" "Just us three I mean." "What are you scared I'll dump you once we get out again?" I scoffed. "What if we just stay here." He said with a serious tone. "What?" "You heard what I said. There is no way all of us will make it out. It's not possible. So let's just stay and enjoy the live we were given." "You don't know that. We'll find a way and if I have to beat up that-" "Not everything can be resolved by punishing it! Listen, Izuku had mentioned before that he considered staying. It would be the easiest way. No more risk taking, no more getting hurt." "And who is going to make sure of that huh?" Both of us started getting louder. "Shoto, that bastard is hunting us down, waiting for us to open the exit for him. We have no where to go." "Alright, we'll go to the exit, let him leave and all will be good." He replied. "You don't seriously think letting him out of here is a good thing, right? There is no happy ending for any of us unless we escape!" "BUT WE CAN'T!" I was caught off guard by him shouting like that. I took a deep breath. "This world is falling apart. It is ruled by an insane person who is willing to kill us once we stop being useful. Out there are our friends, our familys. There is no future for us here, Shoto." "For me there is no future out there either." "What are you talking about?" He looked at the ground. "The only people I love are right here with me." I didn't know how to respond. I knew his family wasn't perfect but... "Love, we should think about-" "Why are you being so level headed all of a sudden?" he said in a quiet but angry tone. "What is out there that makes you want to go back so badly?! All you need is right here." "And as long as it stays in here I'll have to be scared and cautious and worry, because the last thing I want is to loose either of you." I got a few steps closer to him. His eyes were filled with tears. "I know this is hard right now and I promise you if there was a better way I would pick it but right now there isn't. So all we can do is to just keep going and see what happens." I took him into my arms. "I'm sorry."
