Todoroki POV:
I heard footsteps leading away from my door and someone entered the room. It was one of the women that I had heard talking with each other earlier. She had her hair tied into a tight bun and wore a black long skirt with a white blouse. "You're awake!" She said as she quickly walked over to the bed I sat in. "How are you feeling?" She carefully brushed the hair out of my face and placed her right hand on my forehead. "Your fever seems to have gone down. Are you hungry?" I was hesitant. "Oh, I am sorry you must be confused." the women gave me a smile and took a step back. "My name is Lady Macbeth. I am the maid responsible for you." "Where are the others?" Lady Macbeth seemed to be caught off guard by my sudden question. "You mean your friends? They're fine don't worry. My colleagues Mrs Lucy and Lady Noah Are taking good care of them. For now let's concentrate on you though. How are you feeling?" She explained. "Where are we? How did we get here? What do you want from us?" I asked. For now my priority was to figure out what had happened while I was knocked out and to get to the others.
Lady Macbeth sighed. "Alright then. Let's start from the beginning. You are an outsider right? Have you ever been to the lost lands before?" I shook my head. She sat down on the bed. "The lost lands are a big area with an unusual climate. No one really knows how it happened or when but it didn't always look like this. After it started snowing on this desert continent a lot of people were forced to flee. In a time span of only a few years everyone except small peoples who had called this their home for decades remained. In order to survive they invented these so called 'Bubbles'. They are a structure which is able to regulate the outside climate and make it possible for us to survive. Each bubble has a king who is a far descendant of the original peoples leaders. Ours is King Mortimer. He is the oldest of his brothers and has been our leader for nearly 20 years now. In that time he has managed to get 4 children. Only one of them is a boy and therefore the next king.
But here comes the issue. Because each bubble only has one royal family King Mortimers has to have his daughters be married to another kingdoms children. That isn't a difficult task, but his problem with this is that in case their spouses are descendants of other bubbles a part of our bubbles power would automatically go to that one. And considering our bubble would be the women's side of that marriage our royal family would lose more power than they would gain. King Mortimer has tried finding a solution for years now. Once he retires he won't benefit much from this bubbles power but he is determined to continue this families gain of power the way his ancestors have.
That's where you three come in. Because you are outsiders and belong to no kingdom of the lost lands marrying his daughters to you would mean all the families power could remain in these walls. He has been waiting for you. And now you are finally here. And just in time for you to meet your future wife you have awoken. As if fate it self has agreed to this arrangement. Don't worry after all three ceremonies are over you are able to freely see your friends again. Till then we were ordert to keep you three apart from each other till the ceremony later today. And for exactly that ceremony we need to urgently get you ready as quickly as possible. All this explaining has already wasted to much time."
With that Lady Macbeth enthusiastically got up and walked over to a closet in the corner of the room. I needed a moment to process everything. "What about our opinions on the matter?" I quickly asked. "Well the green haired one said none of you are married. That would have been the only way for you to get out of this arrangement." "What?!" "King Mortimer took you in and got you back to health this is the repayment." "A bed for a few nights and some food can't be repaid with a whole life of commitment." I argued. For a moment Lady MAcbeth halted and stoped rummaging around in the closet. "Listen, I also don't think much of marrying off the princesses to outsiders, but the king has decided this and so it is the law." I quickly got out of bed. "Well then help us out. We have somewhere to be and to be honest there's other people I would much rather be married to than some stranger." I tried. "As I said, there's nothing I can do." I wanted to continue arguing when suddenly the door opened again.
A middle aged man in a knight armour stepped in. "Everything ok in here? Any issues?" He asked looking at me suspiciously. "No, we're fine. As you can see he's awake and I'm already getting out the clothes the King requested." Lady Macbeth answered and continued rummaging around in the closet. "Alright, well hurry it up will ya." The knight said and left the room. I looked at Lady Macbeth. "I'm sorry. I can't help you." She said one last time then handed me some Disney prince looking clothes. "Hurry up and get dressed." I sighed. For now I had no other choice but to go along with it.
After I had finished changing, Lady Macbeth led me into a big room with a long table in the centre of it. Everything was expensively decorated and the table was set. On the head of it sat a little over middle aged man with a crown. On the other side as I assumed his queen. On one of the longer ends of the table sad three young women and one young man. Closest to the king sat the oldest and closest to the queen the youngest. Across from the youngest sat Izuku. He smiled at me with a relived expression. Behind him stood another maid. Lady Macbeth led me around the table to my seat. It was the one across the oldest of the daughters. She stood up and gave me a slight smile. I kept a straight one. Before I could sit down I suddenly heard shouts from the corridor. Everyone starred at the door before it energetically sprung open. Two guard and a totally overwhelmed maid dragged a blond extremely angry boy into the room. But the moment he saw me standing there he suddenly stopped.
