Chapter 82: At the dinner table!

Bakugo POV:
As the two knight dudes dragged me through the corridor the maid tried explaining what was going on in a panic. None of it made sense to me. All I wanted was to make sure IcyHot and Deku were alright and then get out of this place with them. Suddenly one of the guards kicked open the door in front of us and they dragged me into the room. And there he suddenly was. Standing behind a big dinning table. As I further scanned the room another person jumped off his chair. Thank god! Both of them seemed fine. "Kacchan-" "What in gods name is all this ruckus about?" Now a third person sitting at the head of the table stood up. He had a ridiculous golden block on his head and wore eye cancer giving fabrics wrapped around him. "Lady Lucy! Explain yourself!" The maid next to me took a few steeps forth and bowed down. "Dear King Mortimer, I can't express how sorry I am. I tried my best getting him here on time and in a more civilised matter. My deepest apologies!" I could see her hands were shaking. "This behaviour is inexcusable!" "I am so sorry, my King!" The King dude walked over to us and stoped right in front of the maid. "Raise your head." He said with a dull tone. The maid slowly straightened her upper body but kept her head bowed. Without hesitation the man swung his right arm and hit her so badly she fell to the floor.

"Your majesty, please!" The maid next to IcyHot exclaimed. "She had problems dealing with the boy to beginn with! It's not her fault-" "I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT! Get back to your position." The maid flinched. "Mortimer..." The woman across from the table stood up. For a second the King halted. Then he cleared his throat and walked back to his seat where he sat down. Then she turned to the guards behind me. "Release him, will you." With a smile she directed her attention to me "Please, have a seat." She pointed towards a chair in between IcyHot and Deku. "You two as well." This time she spoke to the other two. "Lady Lucy, are you alright?" She calmly asked. The maid quickly got off the floor and bowed before the woman. "Yes, my queen." The woman took a deep breath and sat down again. "Well can we finally enjoy our meal then?" Everyone was quiet. I corrected my collar and walked over to my chair. The maid who got hit stood behind me.

As soon as everyone was seated a couple servants came in. They were walking in a perfekt line with perfect spaces between each other. Each one of them carried a platter with food or drinks on it and started walking around the table asking each person individually whether they wanted something from the dishes. Only after they had left the room again everyone started eating. After just a few minutes the queen spoke up again. She looked at us three as she did. "It is so nice to finally see all three of you back on your feet. I am the wife of our beloved King and therefore also the mother of your future wife's. Please tell me your names young men." Before I could angrily correct her, IcyHot grabbed my right hand under the table. "It is an honor to be in your presence, Queen." He began talking. "My name is Shoto Todoroki and these are by beloved companions Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya. We are truly grateful for your assistance these last few days. Thank you so much for taking us in and patching us up but as much as we appreciate all you have done for us I also feel forced to apologise. I am sure your daughters are lovely but we sadly can't become their husbands." The king smashed his fist onto the table so that the crockery clinked. The women rose her hand signalising him to calm down. "And why may that be?" She asked calmly. "You see, we don't know your daughters apart from their appearance, in addition we might not be married yet but we indeed are taken. All three of us. And even if we were interested don't you think these stunning princesses deserve a husband of the same royal blood. We are merely traveler's who are used to being covered in dirt and smell like sweat and grime. We couldn't be enough for them in a million years. They deserve someone of higher status than us three."

The queen carefully listened then spoke. "Your words are proof of a nobel heart but we sadly can't comply. You see we're in a desperate situation. Soon my girls will be too old. There golden years are reaching an end and the positive side to our status is that we can simply do what we want with whoever we want. I am sure your partners will find someone new and if you give it a little time you soon will be getting along with my daughters splendidly. I'm sure of it." IcyHot wanted to argue but the queen cut him off. "You said yourself you are nobody's with barely a place to call your home. Well don't worry from now on things will change. Your women deserve someone who can be by their side anyway. Not someone who is always on travels." I jumped off my chair. "WHO SAID WE WANTED YOUR RIDICULOUS CASLE AND THIS EXTREME LIVE STLYLE. DON'T ACT LIKE YOU ARE DOING US A FAVOUR. ON TOP OF THAT I DON'T KNOW WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT TO ASUME BUT WHO SAID WE ARE TAKEN BY WOMEN? AND WHO THE FUCK SAID WE AREN'T DOING OUR BEST TO STAY AT THEIR SIDE THE ENTIRE TIME! YOU ARE THE ONES SPLITTING US UP AND NO ONE IN THIS FUCKED UP WORLD HAS THE RIGHT TO DO THAT. SO FUCK OFF AND LEAVE US BE!" Everyone in the room starred at me with shock. In that moment both IcyHot and Deku stood up as well and both grabbed my hands. "He is right. No matter what you say we won't be convinced to marry your daughters." Deku said.
