Bakugo POV:
It was still supposed to be the middle of the day when suddenly the sky darkened. Thick thunder clouds started covering the sun. We quickly grabbed the compass, some blankets laying around and our still wet clothes off the line and rushed inside. In that moment I remembered the sail and quickly went outside again. "Kacchan?" After pulling on the thick rope hanging down from it the white fabric rapped up into a sausage. I ran back inside and locked the door shut. Through the small circular windows we could see a storm of rain pouring down on our little boat. "Hopefully this storm won't bring us off track too much." I said as we were all squeezed on one of the benches next to each other, looking outside. "Hopefully our boat won't get damaged." Deku added. "Don't worry I'm sure we'll be fine. We just have to wait it out." IcyHot said before turning away from the window. He picked up the wet clothes from the floor and threw them into the tiny bathroom before getting out a set of new clothes for each of us. It had suddenly gotten a lot colder. "Do you think this means we are getting close?" Deku asked. "I doubt it. It's just a regular storm." I answered. "I mean this is a dream world..." "Shut it, IcyHot. Don't scare the shit out of Deku. It'll be fine."
We had another bite of our smaller getting rations before we decided to distract ourselves a little. For that we lifted the bench cushions and checked in the storage spaces underneath for something entertaining. The boat started rocking harder. Half n' half had nearly disappeared entirely in the bench. "Oh!" "What is it?" "I found a deck of cards!" He sat up and held up the old ripped and probably incomplete cards up as if they were made of cold. I decided it was better than nothing and with a few pillows and blankets we got comfortable on the floor. The next few hours we spend playing different variants of games with the cards. After loosing for the fifth time the in a blanket wrapped Deku finally napped of so Shoto and I kept playing for a little by ourselves. The stronger getting rocking and creaking wouldn't let me sleep anyway.
I was done shuffling the cards. The atmosphere of the rain falling onto the deck and the storm outside was a weird mix of cozy and frightening. I was about to deal them when I looked up. Shotos head was comfortably placed onto his arm wich was resting on the bench. His eyes were closed and his breath calm. I put down the cards and carefully tucked a strand hanging in his face behind his ear. I looked over to Izuku. He was lying on the floor surrounded by pillows as if he was a cat. I took some of the pillows he wasn't using and spread them a little. Then I carefully picked up Shoto and laid him down before wrapping him up in a blanket. Guess instead of the hammocks we would be using the floor tonight. I didn't mind though. No matter how hard we tried maximum two people could fit into one and it didn't offer many position to use it as two either. Suddenly Deku turned from his back to facing Shoto before cuddling up closer to him. Hopefully their backs won't hurt when they wake up. I smiled.
I stood up and stretched before sitting back down on the bench to take another look outside. As soon as I did a big lightning lit up the horizon. Shivers went down my spine. In a weather like this we really shouldn't be on the water. Especially when there is no land near by and we are the tallest object in a big, open space. I decided it was no use thinking about it and laid down next to the others. It took me a while before I was finally able to fall asleep but having those two so close to me sure helped in the process.
The next time I woke up the boat was still. The intense rocking and loud thunder was gone. Instead I could hear a single bird loudly chirping. Though I guess it was more of a scream than a peaceful mating call. I quickly sat up and took a look out the window. The water was calm and the sky a light blue. Barely clouds and if then made of thin feathers. I got onto the other side of the boat and took another look outside. As I expected we had reached land. Our boat must've drifted here and then got stuck on land somehow. What was behind the window was a thick forest with trees so tall I couldn't even see their leaves. The ground was muddy and mossy. Between the thick roots laid sticks and acorns. I woke up the others. "What time is it?" "We've reached land." Once both had opened their tired eyes I quickly started to search for the compass. I ended up finding it hidden underneath a blanked next to the deck of cards. The needle was going crazy. It spun in a circle and no matter how I held it, it wouldn't stop. "What's wrong, Kacchan?" "...I ...Think we're here." "What?" IcyHot rubbed his eyes as he sat up. I showed the others the compass. "Sure it's not broken?" "Maybe the weather irritated it? Wait, is the boat ok?" I opened the cabins door to take a look outside while the others slowly got up.
The deck was pretty dirty and soaked but it seemed like most of it was undamaged. Some scathes here and there but nothing crazy. Finally the other two had also made it outside. We took a look around. The land next to us gave off the vibe of a tropical rain forest. The trees were thick and tall and build up a wall around the land. And there was that bird I had heard earlier. It was insanely big for a bird and had black feathers with some colourful touches. I took a few more steps to the edge of our boat and looked down. It looked as though a few of the thick roots had grown so much they pierced out of the side of the land and now ended in the ocean. That's also what we apparently got stuck on. "Let's set sail and see if we find a clearing somewhere else." I suggested and IcyHot as well as Deku agreed.
