I was feeling down all day, missing Niles like crazy. We had been talking nonstop on our phones all morning, but nothing could replace being with him in person. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and convince my oldest sister Harley to take me to the Neumann's house.

Hey, sis?" I said, popping my head into her room. "Can we go over to the Neumann's house? I really miss Niles."

Harley looked up from her phone and raised an eyebrow. "Aww, okay, lil sis. But only because I'm sure Niles misses you just as much."

I grinned and nodded, already feeling a little better. Harley and I headed downstairs, and she picked up her bag. "Let's go!" she said, and our middle sister Arionna headed out the door with us.

As we drove to the Neumann's house, I couldn't help but think about how much I missed Niles, and it felt like forever since we'd seen each other. We had been dating for two years now.

When we arrived at the Neumann's house, Noah opened the door for us. Harley practically leapt into his arms, giving him a big hug. "I missed you so much!" she exclaimed.

I rolled my eyes good and naturally and followed Arionna inside. I headed straight for Niles's room, and I knocked softly on the door before opening it.

Niles was sitting on his bed with his phone still in hand. He looked up and smiled when he saw me, and I felt my heart skip a beat.

"Hey," he said, setting his phone aside.

"Hey," I replied, climbing onto the bed beside him.

We sat there in comfortable silence for a bit, enjoying each other's company. Eventually, I leaned in and kissed him softly on the cheek. He smiled and nuzzled me back, his eyes sparkling with affection.

As we sat there, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment of peace with my boyfriend. It was moments like these that reminded me why I loved him so much.

And before I knew it, I was drifting off to sleep in his arms...
