Fake Girlfriend -Noah

Noah's Pov

I was sitting at the dinner table with my family, my siblings Niles and Nelson, and our parents, Cassie and Spencer. My mom was beaming with excitement, talking about our upcoming family vacation. "And for the trip, I thought it would be great if we all brought our significant others," she said, looking around the table at each of us.

Niles and Nelson started snickering and nudging each other. I knew what was coming. "Hey, Noah, you don't have a girlfriend," Niles said, chuckling.

My face started to heat up as I tried to think of a way to get out of this situation. My mom's eyes sparkled with amusement, and my dad raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

"Oh, come on, Noah," Nelson chimed in. "You're 17 and you've never had a girlfriend?"

I felt my heart racing as I tried to come up with an answer. And then it hit me - y/n. My best friend, y/n, who had been by my side since elementary school. She was always there for me, always supportive and caring. Why not use her as my fake girlfriend?

"Ah, yeah," I said confidently. "I'm actually dating someone. Her name is... um... y/n."

My mom's face lit up with a huge smile. "That's wonderful, y/n! Tell us more about her!"

I took a deep breath and launched into a made-up story about y/n - her interests, her job, her favorite hobbies. My mom listened intently, asking questions and making excited noises. My siblings were grinning at me like fools, and even my dad was impressed.

That night, after dinner, I texted y/n and explained the whole situation to her. I told her that I had made up a fake girlfriend on the spot to avoid embarrassment in front of my family.

At first, she was shocked and hesitant when I asked her to be my fake girlfriend. Was always nice to me so I knew she was going to end up saying yes. She was scared because she didn't want to get hurt if things went wrong.

But eventually, she agreed to do it. We talked for hours that night, making plans for the next day.

The next morning arrived, and we set off on our family vacation in a big van filled with all our luggage and snacks. My siblings were joking around in the front seats, while my parents chatted in the back. y/n and I snuggled up together in the back row, trying to act natural.

As we drove down the highway, y/n leaned her head on my shoulder and we started chatting about everything from school to music to our favorite TV shows. It felt so natural being close to her like that.

As the sun began to set, we stopped at a rest stop for dinner and stretching our legs. That's when it hit me - this could be the perfect opportunity to confess my true feelings to y/n.

As we walked around the rest stop together, hand in hand (a total act for show), I took a deep breath and turned to her.

"y/n," I said softly. "I have something important to tell you."

She looked up at me with curious eyes.

"I know this might sound crazy," I said quickly. "But... I've always liked you."

Her eyes widened in surprise, but then a small smile crept onto her face.

"I've always liked you too," she said quietly.

We stood there for a moment, staring at each other as the sun dipped below the horizon.

And then... we kissed.

It was like nothing I'd ever experienced before. The world melted away as our lips touched, and all that mattered was this moment - just us two.

From that day on, y/n wasn't just my fake girlfriend anymore. She was my real girlfriend - and I couldn't imagine life without her by my side.
