Ice Skating-Niles

Nobody's Pov-

It was a cold winter evening in New York, and the Neumann brothers, Nelson (15), Niles (13), and Noah (17), were messing around the air bnb. They had been stuck inside all day due to the harsh weather, and the boys were itching to get out and have some fun.

Just as they were about to decide what to do, Niles' phone buzzed with a text from his girlfriend, y/n, in the big family group chat they had created with their parents, siblings, Y/n parents, and siblings. The chat was called "Crazy Fam😝" and included Cassie (Nelson and Niles' mom), Spencer (Nelson and Niles' dad), Brandy (Y/n mom's), Steven (Y/n dad), Harley (y/n's 17-year-old sister), Arionna (y/n's 14-year-old sister), and Niles and y/n themselves.

The text from y/n read: "Hey everyone! Who wants to meet up at the ice-skating rink at State Park? We can have a blast laughing at Nelson and Arionna since they both fell more than 15 times on our last visit"

The boys were immediately excited at the prospect of hitting the ice. Nelson, being the daredevil that he is, was thrilled at the opportunity to show off his skills. Niles, on the other hand, was a bit more cautious but still looking forward to a fun night out with his girlfriend.

After gathering their gear, the whole family, including y/n's parents, headed to the ice skating rink. The evening was filled with laughter as they all took turns trying to get Nelson and Arionna to laugh by making funny faces and doing silly poses on the ice.

As the night wore on, everyone decided to take a break and grab some dinner at a nearby restaurant. As they sat down at a cozy table, Niles found himself sitting next to y/n, with Harley and Arionna on the other side of the table. Nelson and Noah were chatting with their parents at another table nearby.

Niles turned to y/n and whispered, "Hey, can I ask you something?" Y/n leaned in close, a mischievous glint in her eye. "What is it?" she asked. Niles grinned mischievously before whispering, "Why do you always make me laugh so much?" Y/n giggled at his silly question before playfully nudging him with her elbow.

As they continued talking, Niles couldn't help but steal glances at y/n's sparkling eyes. He loved how she made him feel like he was the only person in the world when they were together. And as they finished their meal and headed back out into the cold winter air, Niles knew that this was a night he would never forget.

Niles' POV:

I was getting restless at home when I saw y/n's text pop up in our family chat. I couldn't believe she was suggesting we all go ice skating! I immediately texted her back, excitedly asking if she really meant it. When she confirmed it was true, I couldn't wait to get out there with my brothers and friends.

As we hit the ice, I couldn't help but feel like a kid again. Nelson was being his usual daredevil self, trying to impress everyone with his tricks. But I was happy just skating alongside y/n, laughing and joking around.

After dinner at the restaurant, I found myself sitting next to y/n again. I loved how we could just be ourselves around each other. When I asked her why she made me laugh so much, she just giggled and nudged me playfully. It was moments like those that made me realize how much I loved her.

y/n's POV:

I had been looking forward to this day for weeks! We hadn't had a chance to hang out with both families in ages, and an ice skating trip sounded like the perfect way to spend an evening together. When everyone arrived at the rink, I could tell it was going to be a blast.

As we skated around, I loved watching Nelson and Arionna try to navigate their way across the ice. They're always good for a laugh! But even more than that, I loved seeing Niles smile as he lapped around us. He's always so sweet when we're together.

After dinner at the restaurant, I settled in next to Niles again. He asked me that silly question about why he always laughed so much when we're together. I couldn't help but giggle at his antics! It's moments like those that remind me why I love him so much.
