Y/n Pov-

I woke up to my phone buzzing on my nightstand. I groggily reached over to grab it, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. It was a text from my sister's group chat. "Be ready for a movie night!" it read. I was confused - our parents were out of town, so what was going on? I rubbed my eyes again, wondering if I was still half asleep.

Just then, another message popped up on my screen. This one was from Nelson, my boyfriend of one year. "Hey, y/n! My parents want you to come over for a movie night tonight. They invited everyone in the family, including your sisters." Ah, that made more sense. I smiled to myself, feeling a flutter in my chest at the thought of spending the evening with Nelson.

I quickly got out of bed and got dressed in some comfy sweatpants and one of Nelson's favorite shirts (shhhh I took it don't tell). When I went downstairs, I found my sisters, Arionna and Harley, waiting for me by the front door.

"Ugh, you're so slow," Arionna teased, eyeing my outfit. "You look like you're going to a funeral."

I rolled my eyes good-naturedly. "Hey, it's comfortable. And besides, I'm not exactly going to impress anyone at the Neumanns' house."

Harley chuckled. "Oh, don't worry about that. You'll fit right in with your laid-back vibe."

We piled into the car and made our way to the Neumann's' house. As we pulled up to the driveway, I could see Nelson standing outside, looking handsome as ever in his worn sweats and a rwe hoodie. He grinned when he saw me getting out of the car and came over to give me a hug.

"Hey, babe," he said, nuzzling his face into my hair.

"Hey," I replied, feeling a little shy but happy to be there.

Nelson's parents, Cassie and Spencer, greeted us warmly and ushered us inside. The whole family was gathered in the living room - Nelson's brothers Noah and Niles were sprawled out on the couch, engrossed in their phones.

"Hey guys!" y/n said, dropping down beside them. "We're here!"

Noah looked up from his phone and smiled lazily. "Yeah, yeah. We were just waiting for you."

Niles turned around from his phone screen as well and gave me a nod of acknowledgement.

Cassie handed each of us a bowl of popcorn and we settled in for the movie night ahead. Nelson took my hand and snuggled up close to me on the couch. As the credits rolled on the first movie, we all munched on snacks and laughed together.

It was just another normal family movie night at the Neumanns', but with Nelson by my side and our shared memories together, it felt special.

Now it's Nelson's turn! Here's his perspective:

As I stood outside waiting for y/n and her sisters to arrive, I couldn't help but feel a little excited. Movie nights with my family were always fun, but this one would be extra special since y/n was coming over too.

When she pulled up in her car, I couldn't help but smile as she got out looking gorgeous in her sweatpants and my favorite shirt. I walked over to her giving her a hug.

My parents were already busy setting up snacks and drinks in the living room when we arrived. My brothers Noah and Niles were sprawled out on the couch, engrossed in their phones as usual.

"Hey guys!" y/n said, dropping down beside them. "We're here!"

Noah looked up from his phone with a lazy grin while Niles just gave y/n a nod of acknowledgement.

My mom handed out bowls of popcorn as we settled in for the first movie of the night. As we watched together as a family, I snuggled up close to y/n on the couch and couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment with her by my side.

As we took breaks between movies to grab snacks or stretch our legs, I caught glimpses of y/n chatting with her sisters or laughing with my brothers. It was moments like these that reminded me why family movie nights were so special - they brought everyone together in a way that nothing else could.

By the end of the night when they were saying our goodbyes and thanking my parents for hosting them, I knew that this was going to be a memory that y/n and I would treasure for years to come.
