Anniversary Forgotten-Noah

Noah Pov-

It was a sunny Saturday morning I was feeling lazy. My brothers, Niles and Nelson, were already up and getting ready for our morning basketball practice. My mom, Cassie, had made breakfast for us, and the smell of freshly baked pancakes wafted through the air.

As we sat down to eat, I started eating playing while talking to my parents.

After breakfast, my brothers and I headed out to the backyard to play some basketball. We spent hours shooting hoops and running around, getting some exercise and having a blast. I was in the zone, completely focused on the game.

When we took a break, Niles pulled out his phone and started scrolling through his social media. A few minutes later, he looked up at me with a mischievous grin on his face.

"Congratulations," he said, holding up his phone for me to see.

My brother Nelson and I exchanged confused glances. "What's going on?" I asked Niles.

He showed us a video on his phone - it was a montage of pictures and videos of me and y/n for our two-year anniversary celebration this year. I felt a pang of guilt as I realized what was going on.

"Uh... thanks, Niles," I said awkwardly.

My brothers burst out laughing. "You forgot our anniversary, didn't you?" Nelson asked, chuckling.

I looked down at my feet, feeling embarrassed. I had been so caught up in our basketball game that I completely forgot about our special day.

Niles patted me on the back. "Don't worry, bro. We won't tell anyone... yet."

We headed back inside after our break, but I couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt and embarrassment. I knew my girlfriend, y/n, would be devastated when she found out.

y/n's POV:

I woke up feeling like it was any other Saturday morning. But as I rolled over in bed, I noticed something was off. It was quiet in the house - no sounds of laughter or music coming from downstairs. I checked my phone and saw that Noah hadn't sent me any good morning texts or anniversary wishes.

I got out of bed and started getting ready for the day. As I scrolled through social media, I noticed that all of our friends were posting anniversary posts and congratulatory messages for Noah and me. Confusion turned to panic as I realized that Noah hadn't mentioned anything about our special day.

I quickly put on my comfiest PJs and snuggled back into bed, trying to distract myself from the sting of disappointment by watching TikTok videos. But all I could think about was how much it meant to me that Noah had forgotten our anniversary.

As I scrolled through my For You page, I saw fan-made videos dedicated to Noah and me's anniversary. Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I watched clips of our special moments together - from our first date to our latest adventures.

Why did he forget?

I let myself get lost in my thoughts for a while before finally mustering up the courage to confront him about it later that day...
