Y/n Pov-

It was a typical Saturday morning, and Y/N sat on her bed, staring blankly at the wall. She loved her routine, but today felt different—she craved something exciting, a break from the dull life. With a spark of inspiration, she grabbed her phone, scrolling through her contacts until she landed on Noah's name. After a moment's hesitation, she texted him, "Hey, any plans for today? I need to get out of the house."

A few moments later, her phone buzzed with a reply. "How about hanging out with the fam and doing something fun? We could really use a break!" Y/N smiled, her heart racing with anticipation. Noah's family was always a bundle of energy, and she loved being around them.

Dressing quickly, Y/N slipped into her favorite black leggings and a baggy graphic tee. She grabbed her car keys, took a deep breath, and headed out the door, excitement bubbling inside her. The drive to the Neumann house was short, but it felt like an eternity as her mind raced with thoughts of what the day might hold.

When she arrived, Y/N used the key Noah had given her, pushing the door open to reveal the familiar warmth of the Neumann household. Just inside, she was greeted by the sight of Nelson, Noah's younger brother, attempting to balance a towering stack of pancake on his head while Niles, their other sibling, cheered him on. The absurdity of the scene made her burst into laughter.

"Careful, Nelson! You might become the pancake king!" she teased, shaking her head in amusement.

"Pancake skills aren't meant for the faint of heart!" he proclaimed dramatically, making everyone in the room chuckle.

"Hey, babe!" Noah called, peeking out from the kitchen where the delicious aroma of pancakes wafted through the air. Y/N couldn't help but smile as she made her way over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist and planting a kiss on his lips.

"Hey, Noah! What's cooking?" she asked.

"Just some breakfast. We're thinking about hitting the park later," he replied, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. Y/N pondered for a moment, her mind racing through their options for fun. She had an idea, one that she hoped would be exciting enough to get everyone's energy flowing.

"Actually, how about we do an escape room?" she suggested, her eyes lighting up. The idea of solving puzzles and working together in a confined space thrilled her.

Noah raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "An escape room? I love it! Guys, what do you think?" he called out to his siblings and parents, who were in the background helping themselves to pancakes.

"Count me in!" Niles exclaimed, already bouncing on his feet.

"Sounds like a blast!" Nelson added, his voice full of enthusiasm.

Spencer and Cassie, Noah's parents, exchanged glances before nodding in agreement. "As long as we can work together and not argue about the puzzles!" Cassie laughed, her eyes twinkling.

"Perfect! Let's do this." Y/N felt a rush of excitement as they all began to gather their things.

They piled into two cars, Y/N and Noah in one, while Niles, Nelson, and their parents took the other. The drive to the escape room was filled with chatter and laughter as they shared stories about past experiences, with everyone excitedly pitching in ideas for their upcoming adventure.

Arriving at the escape room, the group stepped out, their energy bubbling over as they approached the entrance. A sign read: "Real Life Escape Games." Y/N could hardly contain her enthusiasm as they entered the building. They were greeted by a staff member who explained the rules and gave them a rundown of the different rooms available for their escape.

"Which one should we do?" Noah asked, scanning the options displayed on a board.

Y/N pointed to one that captured her interest, titled "The Secret Laboratory." "How about this one? It sounds intriguing!"

"Let's do it!" they all agreed, and soon they were ushered into a dark room, the door locked behind them with a light click that sent a thrill of anticipation through them.

The room was dimly lit, filled with mysterious equipment and clues scattered about. "Okay, team, let's find a way out!" Y/N declared, feeling a surge of competitive spirit.

They split up, searching high and low for clues. Nelson and Niles huddled in one corner trying to decipher a complicated lock, while Cassie and Spencer worked on a series of puzzle pieces scattered across a table. Y/N and Noah found themselves examining a strange contraption that looked like something out of a sci-fi movie.

"Look at this!" Y/N exclaimed as she uncovered a hidden compartment. Inside was a key that glinted under the low light. "I think this might work!"

Noah grinned as he took the key from her, their excitement palpable. "Let's get back to the others!"

The minutes ticked by in a whirlwind of laughter, shouts, and shared glances of triumph as they solved riddles and dismissed wrong answers. Each clue led them closer to the final puzzle, adrenaline pumping as they raced against the clock.

"Just a few more minutes!" Niles called out his voice filled with urgency.

Y/N felt a thrill run through her as they pieced together the last clues, everyone working in perfect harmony. Finally, they put the final pieces into place, and with a satisfying click, the door swung open. They erupted into cheers, their laughter echoing in the small room.

"We did it!" Y/N beamed, overwhelmed with joy.

"That was incredible!" Noah exclaimed, wrapping his arms around her in a happy embrace.

Once outside, they couldn't stop giggling, their heads spinning from the rush of adrenaline. The day had turned out to be just the adventure Y/N had hoped for. They all decided to celebrate by grabbing ice cream nearby, filling the air with stories of their escape and planning their next outing.

As they enjoyed their treats, Y/N felt a sense of belonging wash over her. Surrounded by laughter and love, she realized that the best moments came from simply being together, no matter where they were. Today, they hadn't just escaped from a room; they had escaped into a world filled with joy and connection—and she couldn't wait for their next adventure.
