Niles's Pov-

I was beyond excited to be baking with my siblings and my girlfriend, Y/n, for Noah's YouTube channel. We were going to make a giant batch of chocolate chip cookies for his latest video.

As we gathered in the kitchen, Y/n's sister Arionna, who's 15, was already wearing her favorite apron and bouncing with excitement. My big brother Nelson, who's 15, was trying to act cool but I could tell he was stoked to be here too.

My parents, Cassie and Spencer, were setting up the cameras and lights while Y/n's other sister Harley, who's 16, was getting ready to film some intro shots. Y/n, my 14-year-old girlfriend of 10 months, was chatting with Harley about some drama that had gone down at school.

I turned to Y/n and grinned. "Hey, what's up? You ready to get your bake on?"

Y/n smiled back at me. "Yeah, I'm so excited! I've never made cookies from scratch before."

I chuckled. "Well, you're in good hands. I'm the resident baking expert around here."

Nelson snorted. "Yeah right, Niles. You just mean you're the most likely to mess it up."

I shot him a mock-offended look. "Hey, I resent that! I'm a great baker!"

Arionna jumped up onto a stool and started examining the mixing bowls. "Ooh, can I help mix? Pleeease?"

Cassie smiled and handed her a spoon. "Of course, sweetie! You can help Y/n and Niles with the mixing."

As we started measuring out ingredients and creaming together butter and sugar, Y/n couldn't stop giggling at Arionna's antics. Nelson was taking videos of us from different angles while Harley was operating the camera for the main shots.

Noah walked in just as we were about to put the cookies in the oven. "Alright guys! Let's get this video started!" He high-fived Nelson and started chatting with us about his latest gaming victories.

The next hour flew by as we chatted, laughed, and got our baking groove on. Y/n and I worked together seamlessly, our hands touching as we mixed and measured. Nelson kept cracking jokes and making us all laugh while Arionna giggled and danced around the kitchen.

When it came time to take the cookies out of the oven, Harley and Spencer cheered as one big happy family. We let them cool before decorating them with colorful sprinkles and icing.

As we filmed the final shot – a big group hug with all of us holding up our freshly baked cookies – I felt grateful for this crazy amazing family of mine. And for Y/n being a part of it all.

As we wrapped up filming and headed out to grab some dinner at the nearby diner, Y/n leaned over to me and whispered, "You know what's even better than baking cookies?"

I raised an eyebrow. "What's that?"

"A whole day of quality time with our crazy family," she said with a grin.

I chuckled and wrapped my arm around her shoulders. "You're speaking my language now."

As we sat down at the dinner table with our burgers and milkshakes, Noah turned to us with a mischievous glint in his eye. "You know what would be awesome?"

"What?" we all asked in unison.

"A baking battle royale!" he exclaimed. "We could invite some of our friends over and have a huge bake-off!"

Y/n and I exchanged a look. "That sounds like so much fun!" she said.

I grinned. "Let's do it."

Nelson snorted. "Only if we can have a judges' panel made up of random people on the internet."

Harley rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Because nothing says 'fair' like having strangers decide who makes the best chocolate chip cookies."

Arionna clapped her hands together excitedly. "Can I be on the judges' panel? Pleeeease?"

Cassie chuckled. "We'll see about that later, kiddo."

Spencer smiled at us all. "You know what? Sounds like a plan to me. Let's make it happen."
