As they sleep, they're waken by the gentle creaking of the porch swing and the distant chirping of crickets. The stars twinkle above, casting a magical glow over the scene.
After a while, Niles stirs first, his eyes fluttering open as he takes in the peaceful atmosphere. He gazes down at Y/n, her face relaxed and serene in sleep. He smiles, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him.
Without disturbing her, Niles carefully slips out from under the swing and walks over to the nearby hammock. He gently lifts Y/n and settles her into the soft fabric, making sure she's comfortable before wrapping himself around her.
As he holds her close, he feels her stir slightly, her eyes opening to meet his. She blinks sleepily, then smiles as she takes in their surroundings.
"Hey," she whispers, her voice husky from sleep.
"Hey," Niles replies, his voice soft and gentle.
They sit there in comfortable silence for a while, watching the stars twinkle above. The night air is filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the distant hum of crickets.
As they sit there, Niles starts to gently stroke Y/n's hair, his fingers tangling in the soft strands. She leans into his touch, feeling a sense of calm wash over her.
After a while, Y/n speaks up, her voice barely above a whisper. "Niles?"
"Yeah?" he replies, his voice equally soft.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Anything," he says, his eyes locked onto hers.
"What's your favorite thing about me?" she asks, her voice full of curiosity.
Niles smiles, his eyes sparkling with sincerity. "Your smile," he says. "I love how it lights up your whole face."
Y/n's cheeks flush pink as she looks away, but Niles can tell she's happy.
"And what's your favorite thing about me?" he asks, his curiosity piqued.
Y/n hesitates for a moment before speaking up. "Your kindness," she says softly. "You always know how to make me feel better when I'm down."
Niles' heart swells with emotion as he looks at her. "You're an amazing person, Y/n," he says sincerely.
As they sit there together, holding each other close, they both feel a deep connection growing between them. They know that their feelings for each other go beyond just friendship.
As the night wears on, they eventually drift off to sleep again, their bodies swaying gently in the hammock as the stars twinkle above.
The next morning, they wake up to the sound of birds chirping outside. They stretch and yawn, feeling refreshed and happy after their magical night under the stars.
As they get out of the hammock, Niles turns to Y/n with a mischievous grin. "Want to make it a regular thing?" he asks, winking at her.
Y/n's face lights up with excitement. "Yeah!" she exclaims. "Let's make every night under the stars a sleepover!"
And with that, they seal their budding romance with a kiss under the twinkling lights of the night sky...
