As Nelson and the team take the court for their game against a trash team, Y/N can't help but notice a player from the opposing team, Tyler, eyeing her up and down. He's a charming guy, with a charming smile and a confident swagger to his step. Y/N rolls her eyes good and naturally, thinking that he's just trying to get under her skin. But as the game wears on, she starts to notice that Tyler is indeed making an effort to catch her eye, making small talk with her between plays and shooting her admiring glances.

Nelson, sensing that something is off, becomes increasingly possessive and protective of Y/N. He starts to get into Tyler's face, making it clear that he doesn't appreciate the attention. The tension between the two players is palpable, and Y/N can feel the air growing thick with it.

As the game reaches its climax, Tyler makes one final attempt to get under Nelson's skin. He takes a shot from beyond the three-point line, but Nelson anticipates it perfectly, using his quick reflexes to block the shot and send Tyler crashing to the floor.

Tyler springs back up to his feet, furious at being blocked so publicly. "That was a foul!" he yells at Nelson, his face reddening with rage.

Nelson stands his ground, his eyes flashing with anger. "You want to play dirty? Bring it on," he growls.

The two players begin to circle each other, their fists clenched, and their faces twisted in anger. The crowd around them starts to chant "Fight! Fight! Fight!" as the tension builds.

Y/N rushes onto the court, trying to intervene before things get out of hand. "Nelson, stop! This isn't worth it!" she cries out.

But it's too late. Tyler lands a solid punch on Nelson's jaw, and Nelson retaliates with a swift kick that sends Tyler crashing to the floor again.

The referee blows his whistle, and both players are given technical fouls. The game is delayed as the teams try to calm down and get back to business.

As they leave the court for halftime, Y/N turns to Nelson and whispers urgently in his ear. "Nelson, what was that all about? Why did you let things get so out of control?"

Nelson looks at her, his eyes still blazing with anger. "I'll tell you what it's about," he growls. "It's about protecting you. I don't like some guy trying to come between us."

Y/N shakes her head, feeling a mix of emotions: concern for Nelson's well-being, anger at Tyler's attempts to flirt with her, and sadness that things have gotten so out of hand.

"We need to talk about this," she says firmly. "But not now. Let's just focus on winning this game."

Nelson nods gruffly, still fuming with anger. But Y/N can see the flicker of understanding in his eyes, and she knows that they'll need to have this conversation eventually.

The game resumes after halftime, with tensions running high on both sides. But despite the chaos on the court, Y/N and Nelson manage to keep their cool and come out on top in a close game.

As they leave the court after the final buzzer sounds, Y/N turns to Nelson and says quietly, "We need to talk."

Nelson nods in agreement, knowing that they have some unfinished business to attend to.

As they walk off the court, Y/N takes Nelson's hand, leading him to a quiet corner of the locker room. "Nelson, we need to talk," she says, her voice firm but gentle.

Nelson nods, still looking a bit wild-eyed from the adrenaline of the game. "Yeah, I know. I'm sorry about what happened out there."

Y/N's eyes soften. "You have nothing to apologize for," she says. "I know you were just trying to protect me. But next time, can you please not let things get so out of hand?"

Nelson looks down at his feet, his expression sheepish. "I know. I just...I don't like it when guys come on to you like that. It makes me feel possessive."

Y/N squeezes his hand gently. "I know, and I appreciate that. But you have to trust me to handle myself, okay? I can take care of myself."

Nelson looks up at her, his eyes searching. "I trust you," he says quietly. "It's just...I love you, and when I see someone else trying to get your attention, it feels like they're trying to take me away from you."

Y/N's heart melts at the raw emotion in his voice. She pulls him into a hug, holding him tightly. "You'll never lose me," she whispers. "I love you too, Nelson. We're in this together, always."

Nelson holds her back, his arms wrapping tightly around her waist. For a moment, they just stand there, holding each other and savoring the warmth and comfort of their love.

Finally, Nelson pulls back and looks at her with a sheepish grin. "Sorry again about the game," he says.

Y/N smiles and pats his cheek. "Forget about it," she says. "Let's just focus on celebrating our win."

Nelson grins, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. "Yeah, sounds like a plan."

Together, they walk out of the locker room, arm in arm, ready to face whatever challenges come their way as long as they have each other.
