The next day, New went to his office without glancing at Tay's cabin like before. He focused on his work and, when he needed papers signed, he asked Jack to handle it. Jack brought the papers to Tay.

Tay, surprised, asked, "This is New's work. Why are you bringing them? Where is he?"

Jack replied, "He's busy with his work and asked me to do this since I'm free."

Tay nodded, "Okay, put the papers here and go."

Jack added, "New said he needs your signature now because he has to submit them this evening."

Tay, feeling something was off, signed the papers and handed them back to Jack. Despite his suspicions, he continued working. After successfully completing the project for the client, Tay finally had some free time but, having not slept properly for four days, he decided to go home and rest. The next day, feeling refreshed, he went straight to New's cabin instead of his own.

New was working when Tay knocked and entered. New said without looking up, "Sir, I'm working. If you need something, you can tell me and leave. I will do that work later."

Tay replied, "I don't have anything to tell you. I just finished my project, so I'm free now. I can pick up Nanon from school today."

New responded coldly, "No need. My mom will pick him up. You can go now and let me do my work."

Hearing New's unusual tone made Tay feel sad. New had never stopped him from picking up Nanon before. Tay thought New might be in a bad mood and decided to give him some time.

During the break, Tay went to New's cabin again but didn't find him there. He checked the canteen but still couldn't find him. Worried, Tay asked Jack, but he didn't know where New was either. Tay called New, but he didn't pick up. Desperate, he searched the entire office but couldn't find him. When the break was over, Tay returned to New's office and found him there.

Tay walked in and said, "Where have you been? I was so worried. You didn't even pick up my calls."

New responded coldly, "You don't have to worry about an unimportant employee and where I go has nothing to do with you."

Tay, confused and hurt, asked, "What happened to you? Why are you talking like this suddenly?"

New, avoiding eye contact, replied, "Nothing happened. Can you please leave me alone and let me do my work?"

Tay felt something was wrong but had no clue what it was. That evening, a new employee named Atom joined the office and was introduced by Jack to everyone. Atom would be working with New.

When office hours ended, Tay waited outside for New but didn't see him. He called Jack to check if New was still in the office. Jack said New had already gone home. Tay thought, "When did he leave? I've been here all this time."

That night, Tay visited New's house. Nanon and New's mom talked to Tay, but New, seeing Tay, went straight to his room without speaking. During dinner, New ate in silence and then retreated to his room, clearly avoiding Tay, who still didn't know how to address the situation.

The next day, New worked closely with the new employee, Atom, talking and smiling with him. This made Tay feel really bad. New completely ignored Tay, even sending Atom or Jack to get Tay's signatures instead of going himself. Tay had no idea what had happened.

He tried to assign work to New that would require them to collaborate, but New always said he was busy and to ask the new employee. Tay watched as New and Atom went everywhere together, with Atom sometimes bringing New home or picking him up in the morning. Tay felt heartbroken seeing this.
