New prepared everything to move to the village. The doctor called, and New picked up the call, saying, "Hello, Uncle."
The doctor replied, "New, I talked to the hospital administration about transferring me to your village hospital, and they agreed. So, I will be there. Don't worry."
New felt happy and said, "Thank you, Doctor, for doing so much for me. But don't you have a family to look after?"
The doctor responded, "Yes, I have a daughter who is studying in London. Her mother didn't want her to be alone, so she went with her. Now, I'm the only one living at home, so don't worry about my family."
New nodded, saying, "Okay, thank you, Uncle."
The doctor reassured him, "No need to thank me so much, New. You are like a son to me."
New thanked the doctor and ended the call. He and his mom left for the village in the evening.
New and his mom arrived at the village. They stood outside the house, which was made of wood. It was a small house but looked good from the outside, surrounded by many trees and flowering plants. New and his mom went inside. The house had a small kitchen, a dining room, and two bedrooms, each with an attached bathroom.
New asked, "Mom, do you like the house?"
His mom replied, "It's beautiful, son. It's so heartwarming here. No car or bike noise, only the sound of birds and tree leaves. It's so good, son."
New said, "That room is yours, and I'll stay in that room."
New's mom asked, "Son, is there any office here where I can apply for a job?"
New replied, "You don't have to worry about that. I can work from home for my company. My boss agreed to let me work from home."
New's mom said, "Okay, but still, I can work. What will I do all day here anyway? I can take a job if it's available."
New suggested, "You can grow vegetables here, Mom. It will be natural. I bought some land at the back of the house for that."
New's mom agreed, "Okay, that will be good. Now let me prepare something for dinner. You must be hungry."
New said, "Mom, we just moved here. Where did you find ingredients to cook?"
His mom replied, "Then what will we do now?"
New said, "I'll go outside and see if there's some food available."
His mom insisted, "No, son. It's already dark here, and you don't know the village. Let's go together so I can help you."
New agreed, "Okay, Mom. You also need to know the market so you can buy things next time."
They went to the market. New found a food shop and asked if they sold ready-made food.
The shop owner said, "Sir, this is a village. At night, there is no ready-made food available because villagers don't buy it. You can only buy ready-made food during the day. But you can have some snacks here."
New declined, "No, sir. We don't need snacks."
Turning to his mom, New asked, "What should we do now, Mom?"
His mom replied, "Then buy some ingredients, and I'll cook at home."
New agreed. They bought some meat, vegetables, and fruit, and then returned home. New's mom cooked for them. After cooking, she called New, "New, come here. The food is ready."
New came to the kitchen and sat on the chair. He took one spoonful of food and said, "Mom, this tastes good. What did you put in this? You never cooked this well in the city."
