In the morning, they were still hugging each other. New woke up and saw Tay, remembering the night. He blushed and tried to get out of bed, but Tay's grip tightened around his waist.
"Tay, let me go. I need to go to the bathroom," New whispered softly.
Tay opened his eyes and asked, "Are you okay?"
New, blushing, nodded. Tay said, "Just sleep a bit more. We didn’t get much sleep last night."
Embarrassed, New replied, "I don’t want to sleep anymore. We have to go to the office. Did you forget?"
Tay responded, "It’s still early."
New said, "Nanon will be back this morning. I should freshen up."
Tay checked the time. "It’s only 6 AM, Hin. Just lay down and sleep a bit more."
New lay back down, avoiding Tay's gaze out of embarrassment. Tay asked, "Do you remember everything?"
New, feeling more embarrassed, didn’t say anything. Tay reassured him, "Hin, don’t be shy. I’m your husband. It’s normal. Why are you so embarrassed? Look at me."
New shook his head, still not meeting Tay’s eyes. Tay gently turned New’s head towards him and kissed his forehead, saying, "You look beautiful."
New rested his head on Tay's chest and said, "Tay."
Tay responded, "hmm?"
New asked, "Do we plan for another child?"
Tay looked at New and said, "Of course not."
New continued, "Why not? We could have another one so Nanon could have a sibling."
Tay firmly replied, "Absolutely not. It's a lot to handle our energetic boy. I don’t want another one, please. I heard everything what happened when Nanon was born. I don’t want to risk your life."
New reassured him, "Nothing's going to happen to me this time. You’re with me."
Tay shook his head, "Hin, I don’t want to discuss this matter, okay? I don’t want another one. That’s it. Our small family is good."
New tried to argue, "But—"
Tay gently kissed his cheek and said, "Don’t think about that, okay? We are good as we are."
New nodded. Tay asked, "By the way, why are you suddenly talking about another child?"
New explained, "At Nanon’s school, the parents gossip that it’s good to have siblings for better bonding."
"This is why you’re talking about it? Do you want me to talk to them and tell them not to say such things in front of you? because My wife is so crazy he can do what others say," Tay teased.
New playfully hit Tay's chest, "Ouch! Why did you hit me? You don’t have to listen to what others say. Our Nanon is enough for us."
New nodded, smiling.
"Don’t think about it again. Also, remember how possessive our Nanon is? If he had a sibling, he would never let that baby come close to you or me. Remember when you held that baby at school?" Tay reminded.
New laughed, "Yes, he said, 'Papa, put him down immediately, or I won’t talk to you!' Everyone around us was laughing."
Tay and New laughed, remembering what Nanon did that day. Then they heard the doorbell.
"See, I knew he would come in the morning," New said.
Tay chuckled, "How does he wake up so early?"
"He’s just like you. You used to come to my house early in the morning, and when you slept over, I had a hard time waking you up," New teased, smiling at the memory.
