My Rose:

It's about time she was put on bed rest. I had a fear that she would be right back up after that race but thankfully she's listening. Passing out must've scared her real bad cause she doesn't protest against anything anymore. 

Feels like a dream.

I like having her in my bed though. Ms. Carol went wherever Mr. Maraj is cause she couldn't get in contact with him. I'm starting to think it's something deeper than that. She did look a little chubby the last time I saw her and when she came by here the other day, her eyes were bloodshot red.

But that's not my business to mind.

"Bunny."

"Mm?"

"Mama made breakfast, are you hungry?"

"I wanna go down and eat with everyone." She opened her eyes as if she was never sleep. I sighed looking over her body before smacking my lips. I'm sure she's tired of laying down but I don't want nothin to happen to her.

Last night said her head had been hurting off and on she was feelin dizzy. Mama said it would be fine to give her tylenol but nothing else.

"Imma have em come up here and eat with you like last night."

"They don't gotta." She sat up putting her back against the headboard. I felt bad that she couldn't get up and gave her forehead a kiss. Poor Bunny. "You want ya plate now?"

"Yes please."

I left back out my room and went downstairs to the kitchen. Mama had her plate made already just waiting for me to get it. She was about to leave for work so I kissed her goodbye before going back upstairs with two plates.

Amelia is at school already and I think Anna-Mae is working in town today. So the only one I had to deal with was Solange. She must ain't came down to eat yet.

Onika can eat with no problem, and I love seeing it. I'm not the only one that can have a grown man plate with no hesitation. We eat together with no shame. 

"Are you comfortable?" I sat up her eating tray and fixed the covers before laying her plate on it. She thanked me then started her prayers. "I asked if you were comfortable, are you?"

"I'm fine."

"The clothes alright for you? I know they a bit long."

"They alright for the circumstances. I can do."

"You can tell me if ya not alright Bunny. I'm here to help you."

All she did was nod and I knew it was because she was eating. I sometimes like to talk when I eat but she's more into complete silence. I've tried holding conversations but get ignored.

So I let her eat in peace, taking the both of our plates down when we got done. Solange was washing the dishes and I kissed her head sitting our plates inside. I love my sisters so much, they just don't know. I'll go to war behind them.

"Wait Bey."

"What?" I stopped at the edge of the stairs, I was just about to run up. She knew to catch me before I started cause I wasn't stopping. They do that a lot. Call me after I done walked away.

"Can I go with my friend please?"

"Who?"

"Ayanna. She just wanna go into town to pick fruit. Just for a couple hours. Anna Mae out there so I won't be alone."

"Turn your location on. Be back before 3 please. You know we got yard work to do."

"Okay. I'm turning it on now."
