I was beyond excited! Mama confirmed that my sister Kelly was comin over for the weekend! It's been so long since we last seen each other, I couldn't control myself. Between making room for her and keeping everything perfect, I was bumped out.
Anything for my bestest friend ever. I was really excited for Bunny to meet her. I'm already imaginin em being the bestest of friends too.
She didn't know of Kelly coming, so she was sprawled out in my bed sleeping. I didn't want to bother her since she'd been up all night complaining about her foot being in pain. Mama and Ms. Carol were at her aid all throughout the day and even when the sun set then rose again. She finally went to sleep about three hours ago.
I would be wrong to bother her. So I moved around my room as quiet as I could, as slow as I could. She tends to be a light sleeper sometimes. But I doubt she is right now. She's snorin.
Just as I was fixing the pull out bed up, I heard the front door slam shut. My ears perked as I heard voices and I ran out the room down the stairs quick. I hadn't even made out the faces yet, I jumped into Kelly's arms. She caught me effortlessly.
"Ahhh!!! I missed you so much!"
"I missed you so much more!" I got out of her arms. Our smiles were identical. "How is it bein in the city now?! Is it big?!"
"Oh it's huge. The big apple is right." She went to my mother and gave her a hug, speaking to Carol next. I was so excited. "What you been up to Bey? I see you into horse ridin now."
"Yes! You gotta meet Bunny! She the whole reason i'm in it. Kelly she the best horse rider I ever seen."
"I know who she is. I've been watching her races, and you right. It's so sad that she got injured. She alright?"
"Speakin of her....she upstairs, you gon meet her soon. But she sleepin right now cause she ain't feelin well."
"Can't wait."
"Come on, let's get you situated. I got the pull out bed set up, all ready for ya."
"Pull out bed? I can't sleep with my bestie no more?"
"Well...It's somethin I didn't tell you." I giggled as we walked up the stairs with her suitcases. She wouldn't believe what I was gonna tell her. "Bunny is my girlfriend."
"Wait really?"
"Yep. She asked about a week ago."
"Aw i'm proud of you Bey. Who woulda known?"
"Actually Kelly, I done had a girlfriend before." I rolled my neck as we entered my room. To my surprise Onika was sitting up with her hands over her face, not movin. It made me smile. "Oh ya woke. Bunny I want ya to meet somebody."
I sat Kelly heavy bag down before goin to sit next to Bunny. She didn't move a muscle as I touched her. Poor baby gotta be in pain again. As I tried to rub her arm, she shrugged me off with a little whimper. I cringed.
