Pinaalam ko agad kay Direk Dan na nagpositive ako sa virus and he had all the girls tested. Fortunately, wala naman akong nahawa sa kanila. I'm not even sure where I also got the virus.
Direk Dan offered na ipasundo ako ng ambulance para madala ako sa hospital but I refused since lalong walang mag-aalaga kay Ling. I thought of having Ling sent to Fons's place pero I know that he was also busy for his upcoming engagement.
At dahil nagpositive nga ako, and I had to be isolated, nakikibalita na lang ako sa social media kung ano na yung nangyayari sa girls. At sa sobrang sama pa rin nga ng pakiramdam ko, I've always just been asleep. Bumabangon lang ako para pakainin si Ling.
Alam ko na tuloy-tuloy ang promo shows ng girls kaya hindi na rin ako nagexpect na magmemessage sila or tatawag. Sinabi ko rin kasi kay Shee na hindi ko masyado kayang gumalaw-galaw at sumasakit din ulo ko pag naka-phone ako ng matagal.
My parents wanted to come but I also asked them not to kasi baka mahawa sila. Kaya ko naman i-manage yung sarili ko. Of course, they argued with me, pero in the end, pumayag naman na sila. Sinabi ko na lang na I will give them an update every now and then. It was just quite difficult for me kasi mag-isa lang ako.
Today, may narinig akong nag-doorbell kaya nagising ako. Everything is still aching, pero yung ulo ko, medyo umaayos na kaya kaya ko na maglakad at tumayo ng matagal.
I heard my doorbell and I had a slight panic kasi wala naman akong inaasahan na dadating. I wore my face mask and when I opened the door, walang tao dun.
But when I looked down, may nakita akong pagkain at bouquet. Hindi ko alam kung sinong posibleng magbigay sa 'kin kaya hinanap ko agad sa hall.
When I checked the hallway, I finally saw her standing there, wearing her usual smile and specs. Hindi ko inaasahan na andito siya lalo na at alam kong busy sila. But seeing her gave me some sense of comfort...
"Col?"
She signalled me to keep quiet, pero ngumiti siya sa 'kin. She's just standing away from me by a few meters. I smiled.
"Stay inside, tapos close the door so we can talk." sabi ni Colet. "But I won't ask you to talk too much."
Tumango lang ako tapos pumasok na ako sa loob. I stood by the door until narinig ko na nasa tapat na ng pinto ko si Colet.
"Dinig mo ako?" she asked. It was a bit muffled dahil sa mask niya and sa door, but I can at least hear her.
"Yes." I answered hoarsely.
"May gamot ka ba dyan? I brought you some food para di ka na mahirapan magluto."
"Thank you Col, for the food and for the flowers. I want to hug you so bad." sabi ko sa kanya.
"Pwede naman natin yan gawin kapag okay ka na." sabi niya. I smiled.
The past few days of being alone has been taking a mental toll on me and having Colet here, despite being outside, has somehow gave me a sense of relief.
Colet has always been that friend who always took care of us. Whenever she's around, there's always this sense of peace that follows her. She's short tempered pero sa totoo lang, sobrang sweet naman talaga si Col.
"Gulay pala yan ah. Pero I know di ka kumakain nun. Pero try mo lang kahit konti kasi kailangan yan ng katawan mo." sabi niya.
"Thank you."
"The girls are also planning to set up a video call with you tomorrow night. Sabi ko wag muna kasi baka di ka pa okay. You need to be on voice rest and avoid speaking muna. How are you feeling ba?"
"Everything hurts still actually." sabi ko sa kanya and dahan-dahan akong umupo.
"May spare keys ba yung girls dito sa condo mo?"
