I open the large dark door watching his black Rolls Royce pull up perfectly timed. I walk dangerously close to the car Emilianna car seat is in the back I have a small laugh in my mouth imagining Colten trying to set up her car seat. I never understood why he randomly changed cars.
He's here. Exactly when he said he would this pleasant but odd feeling that I may be able to rely on him overwhelms me.
I open the door We drive 5 minutes to pick up Emilianna from preschool. It's barely 3:40pm I grab my lunch that I didn't eat. It's from this morning. "Here." he hands me a house key with another key "you can use the Mercedes when you need it." I feel an invisible smile on my face.
"second day and I've I already get a car and I didn't even have to put out!" I mock with a fulfilling smile His mouth curves upwards. He hands me a phone number out of his pocket No an address.
I furrow my brows "who lives here?" I ask not reading it all the way.

Heading inside grabbing her backpack on my way to sign her out. I sign her out picking her up she rest on my hip she tells me all about her day and how she got to make butterflies. I hold her coat she's wearing a sweater underneath the smile never wavering off her face.
"Did you practice the potty with Keke?" she nods "two times!" She hold up two fingers I grin opening the back door I buckle her in. She looks happy "story time night?" She ask with hopeful eyes. "Of course any book you want." I kiss her gently.
"I brought the kindle." I say to her she grins "kindle has book" she says in what I think is English regardless she says it to Colten who lifts his head up nodding "that's cool." his voice has instantly softened. "Thats pretty exciting huh Coltino." I say in slight baby talk because I still baby talk to Emilianna.
"Coltwino?" She repeats after "we'll decide a nickname later. " I say. I take off her shoes shutting the back door. "I think Thea stopped by today she went grocery shopping. " he says "You have a maid?" I ask "see I thought you out grew that but nope did you even make the bed this morning or was that Thea ?" I mock him as we drive through the city and cold weather.
