(This picture is the vibe of the whole chapter & it was way to cute not to show y'all)
Taylors POV
"Come on, we're gonna have fun!" I say tugging my boyfriend's hand towards the car.
"Taylor I don't have time for this shit." Joe says yanking his hand out of mine and walking back into the house. This was one of my many attempts to try a piece out crumbling relationship back together.
"Fine, I guess I'll just go alone." I tuck a chunk of hair behind my ear and take a deep breath. I stand there for a second, seeing if he might turn around. But he didn't.
I trudge over to my car and get into the drivers seat, turning the keys in the ignition and hearing the engine roar to life. I sigh and pull down the long gravel driveway and onto the main road.
I had found this super cool pottery studio in town and wanted to check it out. And I just thought Joe could come too and we could make it a couple thing, like a date. I guess I had my expectations too high.
I drive downtown and find a parking spot on the side of the road. I use my expert skills to parallel park. I get out of my car and grab my purse.
"Oh yikes, hope no one was planning on parking in front of me.." I mumble, turning to walk into the little studio. Out of sight, out of mind.
I push open the frosted glass door and step into the studio. It's small but absolutely beautiful. There's plants everywhere and the whole space smells like sweet lemons. My eyes drift across the couple of people at different stations, working hardly at their projects.
A young man is parading around the room, looking closely at everyone's decor before moving on. The man looks to be about my age, maybe a year or two older.
He looks up at me and flashes a bright smile, one that you can't help but smile back at. He walks over to me and puts out his hand.
"Hi, I'm Travis. I own the studio." Travis says putting his hand out between us. I reach out and shake it before introducing myself.
"Hi Travis, I'm Taylor." I say shyly, I'm not a shy person what do ever. I love meeting new people and getting to hear there story's but this was different.
"Is it just you today?" He says and I nod.
"Okay, let me help you get set up at one of our tables." He says walking off, leading me to an empty table in the back of the studio.
He motions for me to stay put, which I do. He comes back with a glob of grey clay and a small stained brown apron.
He walks up behind me and places the smock over my head, then reaching forward to grab the strings, his hands brushing against mine in the process.
