Taylor's POVI smile down at my phone when I see a video pop up of Travis at a press conference during training camp.
I press play and turn my phone to go full screen.
"Haha well me and Tay have calmed down a bit and no longer take trips to see eachother for just one day." Travis chuckles after answering a question. I remember all those times I would beg Tree to let me fly to KC just for a day or two to see him. He's right though, we've definitely realized that being that crazy wasn't good. If I could see him everyday though, I 100% would, that actually might become a reality within the next few months though.
"So would you say you're out of the honeymoon faze then?" A different reporter says, catching Travis's attention.
"Well we've been together for almost a year now and it definitely still feels like we're in our honeymoon faze." He says and I swear I saw his face go red for just a second before he laughs it off.
"When is your guys anniversary?" Another reporter asks him.
"August 8th is when we started dating but Taylor would argue is July 29th because that's when she reached out to me after my podcast." Travis smiles.
Eventually all the Taylor questions come to an end so I shut off my phone and put it down on the open couch cushion.
I smile to myself as my hand drifts down to my lower stomach. Travis doesn't know I'm pregnant, he also doesn't know that I'm here in Missouri waiting for him to get home.
I told him that something came up and I'd need to stay in Europe for another two weeks. He was pretty bummed which hurt my heart but I knew how good the surprise would be.
I get up off the couch and walk into the kitchen area. After checking Travis's location I start cooking a simple dinner, not bothering to clean as I go since everything just gets so messy. I hum the lyrics to the current song playing, swinging my hips side to side with the beat of the music.
I cease all thoughts when I hear the faint sound across the house. The sound of the door opening.
"Alexa volume down." I whisper and the music quiets. I silently keep working on the food, absolutely grinning like an idiot waiting for Travis to realize that someone in his kitchen.
"Mom? Is that you?" I hear Travis call out after the front door shuts. I don't respond as I hear the footsteps becoming louder.
"Tay?" I look up to see Travis stopped in the door frame.
"Hey stranger." I take the tea towel and wipe my hands off.
"Well are you just gonna stand there or come kiss me, hug me? I know it's been a month but I didn't think you'd forget me that fast." I laugh at wide eyed Travis frozen to his spot like someone had a gun to his temple.
"I could never forget you." He whispers before taking a few large steps and engulfing me in a hug, sweeping me off my feet and spinning around.
"I missed you so much baby." I say with a giggle as he nuzzles his face into my neck. I move one of my hands from his neck up the back of his head, rubbing my thumb across his slightly overgrown hair.
"Oh Tay, I was so sad when you said you wouldn't be back." He whispers, still holding onto me tight, like he was just dreaming and if he let go then I would vanish.
"I'm almost done making dinner, I'm sorry I wanted it to be done before you got here I just got a little distracted." I say quietly.
"I don't care, you're here and that's all that matters to me. I can help you finish making it." He says finally letting go of me, which is good since I was starting to lose air.
