CAMERON IS GOING TO KILL HER BROTHER. She wasn't kidding, she was going to kill him. School had been back for a week or two since winter break ended, she wasn't really counting. Things have been off since she'd gotten back though, she couldn't put her finger on it. Klaus was acting weird and she didn't know why. He was acting weird before the break, now he was just acting even weirder which made no sense, because, they just got back from Christmas and New Year's. There's no reason to be acting weird and dodgy. Klaus kept blowing her off to go hang out with Nika, which was fine, but it wasn't like him.

"I need to ask you something," Cameron says as she sits down next to Azzi on her living room couch. Paige was off doing something with Nika and Aaliyah, so Cameron spent most of the day with Azzi. 

"It's never good when you ask questions," Azzi says super seriously, before she dropped her serious gaze, cracking a smile, "I'm kidding. What's up?"

"My brother is acting weird. Have you noticed that? You're just as close with him as the rest of us."

"He's been acting weird but I wouldn't say weird, you know? I don't know why you're asking me, you're his twin sister. You guys are connected."

"Okay yeah- but- I should know why he's acting weird. He won't tell me why."

"Did you try asking him?"

"He's gonna lie to me."

"Ask Spencer. Now I have a question for you."

"I'm not answering it, whatever you're going to ask."

Azzi gives her an unimpressed look, crossing her arms. "You don't even know what I'm going to ask."

She's right, but she's also wrong. Azzi is one hundred percent going to ask her about Paige. Cameron can do this talk later. She wants to figure out what's wrong with her brother because it's bothering her too. Cameron sighs, defeated.

"Fine, ask."

"Why aren't you dating her yet?"

Cameron sighs again, leaning into the cushions of the couch, "A lot of reasons, actually. I'm kind of scared."

"About what? Listen, I know you and Paige haven't had the easiest path to getting to where you are now, but if anyone is going to treat you properly going forward, it's her."

"That's not the sole reasoning behind this all, Az. I love her and I really want to be with her, but she just came back into my life. I don't want to go too fast and fuck everything up. On top of that, I don't want us to start dating and then I do something she doesn't like or she does something I don't like and we fight and break up and never recover from it. You know how we are."
