CAMERON WAS THROWING a mini basketball up and down as she's staring at the ceiling, "Do you think it was a jab?"

"Hailey's text?" Paige asks from the other bed in the hotel room.

"Mhm," Cameron catches the ball, holding it for second before passing it to Paige. Paige catches it, then looks at Cameron.

"I don't know. I mean, even if it was, you have to understand why."

Cameron looks back to the ceiling, "I do understand why. I just thought that— I don't know what I thought. Maybe, that she'd be over everything."

"You're a pretty hard person to get over,"
Paige says as she's throwing up the mini basketball now, "Speaking from experience."

Cameron chuckles, "Still! It's 2025.. the last time we talked was 2023. She's had to of moved on by now."

"I mean, Jalen was in the picture."

Cameron rolls her eyes, "No one likes Jalen."

"You don't like Jalen."

"No," Cameron says, "No one likes Jalen. You're the only one who does, Paige."

"I don't get why you don't! He's not even that bad of a guy!" Paige exclaims with a laugh.

Cameron rolls her eyes harder this time as she sits up, "But this is Hailey we're talking about. You put her and him in a room together and it just doesn't make sense. Plus, I don't like him because he was so annoying in high school."

"What was so annoying about him?" Paige asks.

"Dude, he wanted you and he wanted Hailey. You weren't even interested! He would say he was the better option over me."

"I mean..."

"Paige!!" Cameron groans, making Paige laugh. "I'm complaining about him and you're laughing?" Cameron says dramatically, Paige laughs a little harder, "I'm distraught. And you're laughing."

"I'm sorry! It's so funny when you get so mad over stupid shit. You won me over and you won her over at some point too!"

"Him and Klaus are insufferable together," Cameron says, making that her final point. "Hailey would look better with so many other people on this planet."

"Name one," Paige says.

"That football star from England. We've watched her games."

Paige raises an eyebrow, "With the nice eyes?"

Cameron nods, "I'm pretty sure they're friends."
