Haseena walked back to the cabin after 3 hours, tired and vexed, her eyes were itching because of the lack of sleep, her stomach grumbled for food as it running only on coffee for the past 12 hours, and her body felt like lead as the muscles cried for relief.

As she entered the cabin a flower arrangement welcomed her, Swetha who followed her quickly spoke.

"Mam, they came an hour back addressed to you" and left handing her files

Haseena frowned at the white roses, her hands roamed around trying to find a card, as it was not her birthday and neither a new deal had been signed. Finding the card, she smiled at the sender's name but the smile didn't last for a long time.

'Sorry for bothering you. I know you are busy and tired, please have your lunch, I have sent some sandwiches'

- yours

Karishma

Haseena saw a hot pack beside the flowers which she overlooked until now, as she opened it, she found Sandwiches made the way she liked them and a cookie. Tears formed as she remembered the last conversation with Karishma a few hours ago, she sat on the chair with a thud as the weight of guilt finally caught up to her.

"You dumb bitch!" Haseena cursed herself burying her face in her palms, 'After listening to all your stupid things, she still took the time to make you sandwiches like the way you love and even said a sorry and sent you flowers! She is angry, she is busy, she is probably more tired than you and she still managed to care about you' Haseena's mind pointed out increasing her torment.

"You really are a dumb bitch, Haseena! How could you let out your frustration on her" Haseena banged the table with her right hand, resting her head on the table she closed her eyes.

Karishma roamed around the Kitchen anxiously, it's been more than an hour and Haseena haven't called back or messaged saying she received the flowers and food.

'Maybe she is still in the meeting' she tried to control her building despair.

'Or maybe you just gave up your self-respect and like a sick puppy doing everything for her attention' she challenged her optimistic side.

'She is just frustrated. And when does understanding someone turn into losing self-respect'

'When you sent her a sorry card!'

'It's sarcasm!'

'You made her a sandwich, like the same way she loves to eat. You should be angry with her woman! Not doing her favours!'

'I am angry with her! It doesn't mean I'll stop caring for her'

'Just shut up Karishma! Why don't you agree that you love her?'

'What! No, it is just...'

Karishma's line of thoughts broke as she received a message, she hurriedly went to the phone she kept on the other end of the kitchen on charging, however, her spark of joy died before it caught some air.

"Karu, my car is punctured. Can you able to drop me home today?" Pushpa Ji messaged

"Sure Amma" Karishma sighed sending the message

"Be here by 9 pm. And don't be late, we can go home together"

"I'll be on time Amma" Karishma rolled her eyes sending the message, her mother never leaves a chance to point out her tardiness

Karishma turned around seeing the huge amount of work she had to catch up before going home, shaking her head, she slowly made her way to the work she left unattended since the call to Haseena.
