2(29). A Bargain

Haseena came out of the house after 10 minutes searching for Karishma, she vaguely remembers Karishma talking on the phone when Arshad and she walked into the house but now she is nowhere to be found.

"Ji suniye" she called the watchman

"Ji madam" the watchman came to here

"Wo ap Karishma madam ko dekha?" Haseena asked still looking around

"Ji, unko tho gaye huve 5/10 min horaha hei, bohot pareshan dikrahihei" he answered

Haseena frowned and asked him to leave, she tried calling her but Karishma was not receiving the phone,

'But she was excited to make Shahi paneer for Chacha Ji' Haseena's frown deepened as picked up the bags which fell from Karishma's hands, 'is it an emergency? If not, why would she leave without informing anyone' she talked to her as she walked back into the house.

She informed everyone that Karishma had to leave for an emergency and as usual Pushpa Ji came up with a ton of questions, before Haseena could answer, her phone rang.

"Jai Hind Madam sir" Raj spoke on the call

"Jai Hind Raj," Haseena answered, before she could ask him, he spoke again

"The CCTV footages were recovered, we got a clue and most importantly," he grinned widely, "it looks like we may have a witness"

"Look into it, I'll be in an hour" Haseena smirked

"Actually, madam sir, the reason I called is, that DSP mam called, she asked you to meet her at the headquarters in an hour" Raj informed her

"She resumed her position?" Haseena frowned, she knew Meha had few more days at the hospital, let alone bed rest at home

"Yes, it seems like there was an emergency. She wants to brief something important; I think these details can help us in the discussion" Raj spoke

"Okay" Haseena sighed, "you carry on with the work, I'll meet you soon"

Haseena closed her eyes, her gut sending her warnings of something bad, opening her eyes she informed the family to have lunch, apologizing to her Chacha Ji she went to the Station.

Haseena walked into the station with the same fierce aura and calm demeanour she usually carries around. Parth, Aira and Raj stood up seeing her and saluted

"Jai Hind, what's the status report?" Haseena asked taking her seat.

"Madam sir, we went through the CCTV footage and your hunch is right, early in the morning this old Alto car stopped a few meters away from the front gate, they were present till DSP ma'am arrived and then drove to the back alley" Parth pointed the car.

"No car number or any identification of personnel" Aira added.

"And around 10 mins before the incident, we could see people coming out from the garden hurriedly like someone warned them to get out and according to the forensic report, this is the exact time the constables have died" Parth pointed out the footage time, "this is from the cameras before the park's gate. We haven't identified them till now as there are no suspicious activities by anyone"

"Hmm... Aira see if you can find the people who came out of the park before the incident, talk to them and see if they can identify any of the culprits. Also, ask Pushpa Ji to accompany you, they'll be scared, her expertise will come in handy. Call her now and ask her to join" Haseena ordered Aira, "what about the footage from the ally?"
