The next day Raj and Haseena entered the café in casuals, seeing them Billu went to them and offered the table close to the counter, before he could take the order Shivani and Karishma came out with two bags.
"Bille, ye dono cake delivery karke avo" Karishma called him
"Ji Karishma madam" Billu left bidding goodbye to Haseena and Raj
Shivani joined them at the table, "what do you like to have?" Karishma asked them
"Haseena ka order tho tumhe pata hi hoga" Raj smirked while Haseena glared at him, "I mean ye to har roj ati heina. Anyway, I would like a coffee the same as Shivu's, no cream and no sugar" Raj smiled
"Tumhe yaad hei?" Shivani asked surprised
"Of course, yaad hoga, kitne coffee's pilaya tujhe, huh" Raj rolled his eyes.
"Oy! wo mujhe tum notes ke badle diye the!" Shivani protested
"Apse bi?" Karishma jumped into the conversation
"Tumhse bi?" Raj asked surprised, Karishma nodded yes, "Wah! Matlab kahi bi javo apna setting tho karti ho. Pata hei Karishma, mein college cricket team mein tha, isse notes leta tha aur isne tho canteen mein mera naam ka khata hi kol diya, kitna karcha karaya mujhse" Raj shook his head, teasingly looking at Shivani.
"Besharam log! Mera notes nehi hota tho, ye Raj pass bhi nehi hota aur Karu tu, pata hei kitni library's jake mei mera notes banayi ti. Huh! Shameless people!" Shivani rolled her eyes
They all chuckled, "Hum order late hei" Karishma went to the counter
"Hum khane keliye kuch dekte hei" Haseena too went to the counter, wanting to give some space to Shivani and Raj
Raj kept silent for a few minutes and spoke, "Sorry, I got to know about your husband. How are you doing?" he sighed
"It's been a long time, Raj. It was very hard at the beginning but then Karu and Santu once again came back into our lives, they were our emotional support. Karu has always been a constant since then, Rashi loves her Karu mausi, ab Santu bi agayi tho, she is enjoying pampering from both of her aunts" Shivani smiled
"Aur tum?" Raj looked at her inquisitively
Shivani sighed, "Mera kya hei, Rashi kush tho mein bi kush," she sadly smiled, "Akash was a good person. He was a better friend than a husband and I was a better wife than a friend to him. Maybe if I had been his friend, I may have seen his cracks" she sighed.
"It's not your fault Shivu" Raj held her hand.
"Maybe, but I would have at least been at peace that I tried my best," Shivani shook her head, "anyway, I made peace with it, there is no gain in living the past. So, now I am just focusing on Rashi and her future"
"Heard you were in Delhi. When did you come back?" He tried to change the topic
"Coffee" Karishma placed the order on the table, and while she was about to leave Shivani pulled her to the seat next to her.
"Ab café mein koyi nehi hei, todi der bait ja"
"Kya bate horahi hei?" Haseena asked taking her seat
"Raj is asking me about when I moved back here" Shivani answered and turned towards Raj, "around 4 years ago. When I came to meet Karu, I was petrified seeing her condition," she held Karishma's hand who went pale at the topic, "I soon joined to help her out but this helped me to get out of my bad phase. The money earned here helped us to move into a good neighbourhood. After Arshu's birth, our business flourished because of his mother's relentless hard work and we expanded right after that. Soon I made a small world of my own" She kissed Karishma's hand.
