Karishma was about to leave the room, but she abruptly stopped and turned towards Haseena, "and one thing about Arshad."

"Yes," Haseena frowned.

"Before that, why didn't you call me back?" Karishma stood crossing her hands across her torso

Haseena stared at her not knowing how to proceed further, she knew if she abstained from speaking, Karishma would not talk about Arshad, so she went with the truth, "If I called, I would never be able to lie to you again, Mi amor. In the evening, I received a call from my chief about my friend's death and I had to move to Spain as soon as possible. I was not able to hear your voice messages but I heard your Voice mail and believe me, Karishma, I still had it with me, I used to listen to it every night for 4 years" Haseena sighed remembering the voicemail and how it helped her survive all those years away from Karishma.

"You should have called Haseena," Karishma sighed and took a step towards, "because you missed the most important news of your life. We became parents Haseena; Arshad is our son" Tears formed in her eyes.

Haseena stood stupefied, her brain refusing to accept that she missed her son's birth, his infancy and the fact that if she didn't come back from Spain, she would never know that she has a son. Haseena's body shivered vehemently, her breathing short as the known feeling of suffocation started to engulf her, the darkness on the edge of consuming her. Haseena held her heart as pain shot through it, she fell as her knees buckled.

Karishma who was noticing the changes ran to her, holding her close to her heart,

"Sweetness, what happened? Please talk to me?" Karishma tapped on her face trying to grab Haseena's attention

Haseena dragged herself towards the table and bought the tablets she was prescribed for these situations. Karishma helped her take the medicine and held her close until Haseena settled down.

"How are you doing?" Karishma asked as Haseena tried to sit straight

"I am okay," Haseena said stealing glances from her, "So, Arshad is our son? The one we prayed for?"

Karishma nodded smiling

"Thank you so much Mi amor," Haseena pulled her into a hug, "You gave the greatest boon of my life, thank you so much" She kissed Karishma's forehead.

Karishma closed her eyes relishing the love she missed all these years, how much she missed this feeling but she backed away promptly after giving herself a minute to saviour it.

"I don't want to keep you away from our son neither I want him to be away from you, you have all the rights on him like I do. But give me some time to talk to him, he gets scared of sudden changes like his mother," Karishma gave her a side-eye.

Haseena chuckled

"This doesn't mean that I have forgiven you, No. I just don't want him to miss more days with his mother, he already lost a lot. Once I speak to him, we can decide how much time you can spend with him?"

"Mi amor, Barkat is our home, why don't you come back? Let's live there together with our son like we always dreamed of!" Haseena tried her luck

"You are forgetting that I didn't forgive you Madam sir," Karishma glared at her.

Haseena rolled her eyes as Karishma again started calling her Madam Sir, "Fine, but I am not going to stay quiet until I earn your forgiveness" Haseena smirked.

"Huh, in your dreams! You have no idea of what you are dealing with" Karishma smirked back.

"Of course, I know! I am dealing with what is mine! And I do love playing with fire" Haseena winked at her.
