My grip tightened around the railing and it wasn't long before I had Usagi in my sights again. I had to wait until I could wait for her alone. In the meantime, Kunzite explained the whole situation to Kaori while she cursed loudly. Two of our people remained in her immediate vicinity without her noticing them. Occasionally, Usagi's eyes sought mine, but never for long. It was always just as if she happened to look in my direction. But it was definitely too often for coincidence. This Seiya didn't even come close to leaving her side.
It felt like an eternity before I finally sensed my chance. She leaned up, blew this Seiya a kiss on the cheek and made her way to the toilet.
I hurried down the steps, positioned myself a few meters in front of the ladies' room and waited. As Usagi walked past me, my fingers sprang forward and gripped her wrist. She looked at me with wide eyes. There was too much going on here, we couldn't talk openly, so I pulled her after me into the corridor leading to the camp. She followed me without any protest.I pressed her lightly against the wall, the smell of her again after such a long time was beguiling. No, we didn't have time for that. She had to get out of here.
"Grab your singer and go home right now, Usagi. Massaru is outside waiting," I said urgently and pierced her with my gaze. But she glared at me defiantly.
"Why? Just because you're here now? Don't you think that..." she protested, but I cut her off.
"Usagi, please stop arguing about everything. When will you finally learn to do what you're told? Go home. Now!"She finally seemed to realize what I was trying to tell her.
"Diamond? What's going on here? I want to know the truth," she asked.
I stroked my hair, stressed. She deserved the truth if she was asking for it. She needed to know what danger she was in.
"Sapphire is in Tokyo. Haruka saw him a few streets from here, but he gave her the slip. We don't know where he is right now. You know how dangerous he can be. Go home now, Usagi, and stay in the apartment until Haruka gets in touch."I saw the fear in her eyes. I stroked her cheek reassuringly, my finger lingered on her chin and lifted it slightly. No more words were needed at that moment. She understood the meaning of what I had said.
"Do you need help, my darling?" a male voice suddenly sounded behind me. Without turning around, I knew it was the singer. I let go of Usagi and took a step to the side without taking my eyes off her. Usagi hesitated briefly and then threw herself into his arms.
"Can we please go home? I don't feel so good," I heard her ask him as I turned the corner.
around the corner. At least she seemed to listen to me and wanted to leave the gala.> Ms. Tsukino will be leaving the gala. <, I sent to Haruka.
I returned upstairs and watched closely as Usagi headed for the exit arm in arm with this Seiya.
"You sent her away?" Kunzite asked and handed me a scotch. I gratefully took the glass from his hand and took a big gulp.
"Massaru is waiting in the car to take her away. Haruka knows she's coming out. Let's just hope that Saphir gets caught today and that the haunting finally comes to an end."
"He's been suspiciously quiet so far, don't you think?"Yes, that's what I thought. He was planning something, but I just couldn't figure it out.
"I'll go and look for him myself in a minute. The important people saw that I was here, and if there's anything else, you can represent the company."
Kunzite just nodded and sipped his drink. "I'll probably be one of the last to leave here today anyway."
Kaori was completely in her element here. She flattered the otherwise tough negotiating partners with ease and asked them to dance. We wouldn't get her out of here until the event was over. That much was certain. Nevertheless, her eyes kept glancing up at Kunzite and me at regular intervals.
