I can't believe I'm pregnant.
Well, I'll still take a test, but this elderly woman seems experienced, and honestly, I've been feeling different lately.

Khalifa's chamber was arranged for me, so I excused myself to take a nap. I took my bath and had a nice sleep. I woke up to find a variety of fruits and food warmers displayed in the room. I smiled to myself before grabbing an apple.

"And she's finally up." Hanan entered with my little darling.

"Jadwa." I placed the girl on my lap.
"Your husband has been calling me to ask of you." She gave me a hug.

"Don't mind him, how is my darling doing." I tickled her.
"I'm good." She giggled.

"How is faiza."
"She's sleeping. we will check up on her tomorrow, I was also about to put jadwa to sleep when your husband called again."

"My phone must have been off, I'll have to charge it."
"This young lady needs to sleep. She has school tomorrow." Hanan picked up jadwa, who was hesitant to leave me.

"Good night, little miss." I pulled her cheeks.

I had some food before I retired back to bed.

After breakfast, I went off to greet Amma. After that, I went to check up on our new baby mama.
I picked up the cute boy who was sleeping while squeezing his cute little fist. I took a selfie and sent it to Khalifa.

I asked the driver to drop me off at home. After spending the whole day with Mama, I stopped at my former hospital to take a pregnancy test. I had to request them to just snap it when it's out. Though I was really happy to see their faces.

I entered the room just to find Khalifa typing on his MacBook with a cup of tea beside him. I'm I dreaming or hallucinating.

"Khalifa." I touched his face, and his man couldn't stop making fun of me.
"You scared me, why didn't you tell me you're coming." I lightly pushed him.

"I wanted to surprise you, and I really missed you."
"I'm happy you're here." I said appreciatively.
I spent the whole night cuddling Khalifa.

I've been staring at my phone for hours now. My test reads positive. I can't believe I'm pregnant. I couldn't help myself. I just had to show my darling husband. He picked me up and twirled around.

"I thought you were taking pills, and you have that IUD thing."
"After I came to know that you've been married for three years and you don't have a child, I stopped taking the pills and removed the IUD thing you speak of." I confessed.

"This is a dream come true." He kissed me.

"I'm going to see my horses, I'll be at the stable. Please take care." He cupped my cheeks.
"How many horses do you have?". I asked.
"I had three but one died, so I'm managing two, I'm thinking of buying another one."

"What do you mean managing? Two horses are enough." I said bluntly.
"They will be for me and our children."

"There's no way you'll teach our children how to ride those things."
"Horses." He corrected.
I fought the urge to roll my eyes.

Khalifa went to the stables while I and the girls chatted up. I spent the rest of my day with Amma. She's so fun to be with. She practically pulls everybody's leg.

My stay in Zaria was really nice. Amma sent a car with three maids. Khalifa told her I wanted a maid, and she scolded the both of us for not having maids. She was like It's beyond his status, and he should behave like royalty. Honestly, I wanted only one, but she insisted I have three.

I just had a shower, and I can't help but stare at myself in the mirror.
"Khalifa." I called out to him, and he quickly rushed in.

"Khalifa, so you're telling me this baby bump will affect my figure, something I've worked for years, and my beautiful face would be swollen." I cried out.

"Did you honestly call me for this?" He rubbed his face impatiently.

"I'm pregnant, and you're been mean, please don't make it hard for me." I dramatically sprawled on the bed.

Khalifa ended up persuading me and rocked me to sleep.

My life has been rocky since my secondary school days. I wasn't really bullied, but I was emotionally drained. I lost focused I lost my confidence and my self-esteem. After graduating, I promised to have the life I always wanted, I made sure I built myself and never settled for less. It's easy to say, but I had put so much effort into my life.
It's funny how my story started from tears and ended with a tiara.
I mean, I'm now a princess.

I always thank God for giving me a husband like Khalifa. He's not perfect. We all are not, but this man here has been a blessing.
