The camp set up duty was on Soobin and Taehyun. Beomgyu and Kai were responsible for setting up the spot with their handy telescope and an area to be build the fireplace, to make a cosy environment. That left HyunAe and Yeonjun to fetch the firewood. The sun has already set by the time they made it, and the stars were beginning to shine through in the vast canvas of inky blue sky. All that was left was a peaceful, homely camping trip to be done well and perhaps... Settle the matters of the heart.
It felt like ages since she had spent time with Yeonjun, alone, and they truly did nothing and had fun. They had to get the firewood, but the prospect of spending time with him, felt like something to look forward to. Especially when he hadn't protested to the idea of being with her completely. That was at least a start...
Only if they had that much time left to start over again...
"
Guess what? We packed the camping favourites!" Beomgyu exclaimed as everyone started working on their spots after finding a good enough clearing. "Frozen barbeque and S'mores!" He exclaimed and soon fished out two big, heavily packed packs of the snacks.
Everyone grinned at the sight and felt their mouth water. Yeonjun remembered how whenever they used to go camping together, he used to help make the s'mores for that one girl he was so hell bent on hating now. She often messed up and her fingers ended up getting all sticky and coated with the melty texture of the marshmallow as Kai and Beomgyu left no chance to tease her. How they pretended to be representing different houses of dragons in their make beliefs and ended up 'sword fighting' with the branches they found on the ground or broke from the trees towering them all around.
"Yeonjun!" Kai's voice snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked up. "Y-Yeah?"
"Were you dreaming?" He chuckled as he beckoned him over. The telescope carefully placed on the mat as Beomgyu fixed it's stand.
"No, just, got distracted by the snacks." He replied with a lop sided smile as the other boys exchanged some looks.
Hyuka shrugged and spoke again, "Alright, since you and Hyun Ae aren't going anywhere for now, help us with this." He looked down at the telescope as the two boys prepared to set it up. Yeonjun hummed going over, as he started helping, but midway working, Beomgyu was the one to break the silence. "You think we'll see any stars tonight? The sky looks too cloudy, no?"
As if on cue, Yeonjun looked up as well, but the cool breeze seemed to pick up pace almost pricking his eye with some dirt. He barely winced when Soobin groaned. "I can barely hold the tent, let alone nail it. Are you sure you checked the weather forecast today?"
Everyone seemed to look at each other questioningly but none answered.
"What?" Soobin looked around again. "Who checked the weather forecast?" He repeated again.
"I thought Beomgyu was supposed to." Taehyun says and looks at the boy who shrugs. "Nah I was busy packing snacks, I told Kai to do it." He said pointing at his partner whose eyes widened and lips formed into an 'o' shape. "Wait... I meant to ask Hyun Ae to do it... But, I forgot..." He trailed off a little guilty look on his face.
