[ SEQUEL TO RUN AWAY ]
The squad of five now had a sixth member, and the friends were happier than they could ever be. Three oblivious of what had happened, and three keeping the secret to themselves. It was finally going back to normal until... It...
With every step I took, I felt farther from my ideal reality and an inch closer to a harsh truth I'd rather not face. I thought I'd be the most scared of facing Yang, but it wasn't that. Surprisingly I didn't feel fear, I felt a thrill wracking through each anxious step I took closer to the cave. The possibility of something much greater awaiting me was far more greater than my desire to stay in a sheltered denial all my life. I had nothing to lose - I was, or at least, I wanted to get over Yeonjun, or Yin as his identity really is... How bad could Yang truly hurt me?
As I walked further, I felt the comforting push of the sea come up to my waist, my feet slowly walking up on the soft sand. It was as if every force of nature of slowly but surely urging me closer to my doom.
I never went into a sea cave before, but as I stood before it's mouth, I realised how dark it was inside. The sun's rays barely caressed the wet walls with their warmth and the light completely ended into a complete darkness a little further down. More than Yang, I was scared of the possibility of what other sea creature could possibly lurking inside to prey on me. I took a nervous gulp, as I held the rough wall beside me, and took a deep breath. I had heard stories and seen documentaries of what exactly could lie here, and none of them were favourable enough.
"Yang?" I called softly as I took a step forward. "Yang I'm here to talk to you!"
No answer. Just my voice crashing against the depths of the cave and echoing back to me. It sounds really creepy to be honest. Never knew my voice could pierce my own ears.
"Yang! It's me, Hyun-Ae!" I exclaimed and squirted my eyes to look deeper into the darkness. It was really difficult for my bare human eyes. I sighed in defeat. Had I known before, I would've brought a flashlight with me.
I waited for a few more minutes, momentarily shuddering once in a while from the sea plants suddenly brushing against my ankles and knees and tickling my calves.
"There's no one here." I muttered and turned around. "Maybe Soobin was wrong-" I stopped dead in my tracks feeling something rough and scaly starting to wrap around my waist. And I knew, it wasn't some sea plant tickling against me again.
I felt my skin turn to ice as I slowly looked down to what it was. What if Soobin wasn't wrong but... But... It was another supernatural being instead...? Was there perhaps any other supernatural celestial being in here... I wasn't getting a good feeling about it.
I tried to make a break for it, pushing that thing off me with my entire strength but as I tried to, it only made its grip harder proving that it wasn't going to let go anytime soon and the next thing I know I was being pulled back to the darker and scarier end of the cave.
I screamed, shut my eyes and braced myself for my end. This was a bad idea. A very bad idea. The worst perhaps and now I'm going to lose my life to some hideous monster thirsty for my blood and bones and it's going to torture me before killing me and gouge out my eyes perhaps and sink it's venomous fangs into me as it forces me to look deep into its hateful full and murderous red eyes offering me no pity—
"I can hear your thoughts you know." A low whisper tickled against the shell of my ear as his warm breath fanned over the skin of my neck. It was hotter than a human breath.
I suddenly realised that it wasn't some scaly thing wrapped around my waist anymore but a hand holding me flush against a strong chest, pressing me against it.
"Y-Yang?" I asked taking a gulp. I was still too scared to look around and come face to face with it.
"Hmm... Yeonjun." He said.
"Huh?"
"My name. It's Yeonjun." He repeated himself. His voice was soft and raspy and it would be hot had I not known his true identity and what he's capable of.
"It was you who pulled me here?" I ask softly. Wow Hyun-Ae, out of all the worthwhile questions you could ask you went for the dumbest one.
He chuckled, his hot breath fanning against me again causing me to shiver again and said, "If it wasn't obvious enough Angel."
I bit my lip at the way the nickname rolled out of his tongue. I was only used to one nickname all my life. As Yeonjun... Or Yin called me, Jagiya.
This was new. Angel.
"But I didn't feel your hand then, it was—"
"My tail. I don't really fancy sunlight and you were far too close to it."
My eyes widened as I thought the possibility of being in his half dragon form from waist down and I felt shudders run through my spine slowly looking down into the black water. Not like anything was really visible.
"Yes." He answered my thoughts as his tail coiled round my feet, almost tying me up like his prisoner. "If it's that creepy, I can come in my complete human form. You probably won't be against it since you can seeYeonjun completely naked and feel him even if I'm not exactly your Yeonjun." He said making me blush hard as I remembered back to the time when I found Yeonjun in the Magic Island back then.
"Would you like that, Angel?"
I gulped hard and it felt like I lost my track of thoughts for a moment because the next thing I heard was -
"Cat got your tongue? Or shall I say, Dragon?"
I snapped my face around to look at him this time. Oops. Big mistake. Mighty big. Wrong move. I shouldn't have, God know.
It was exactly that face staring back at me, inches away from me to the point I could feel our noses brush against each other and yet again, my cheeks started warming up again. His hair wet, slightly dishevelled and his dark eyes stared into mine. They looked so hateful, despite his playful words. It just reminded me of how hatred he had for me. I can't. shouldn't. It's just the same face. And the face I currently am supposed to hate because he was an arse to me to go all power hungry and leave me. Be it Yin or Yang, both are not good for me. I was a fool to fall for Yin. Now I won't fall for Yang.
