"What was that...?" Taehyun whispered, shaken up, staring daggers at Soobin as we all slid down on the floor, our legs giving out from the adrenaline rush.

Soobin hesitated when he was asked the question. He seemed more comfortable focussing on the ground than meeting any of our eyes. He shuffled his feet sighing and then raking a hand through his hair as if contemplating what to say... Or how much to say perhaps...
He slowly took a few steps towards the shoe rack and opened his shoes keeping them up there, as if trying to ignore our presence which was of course a very failed attempt since it felt like he didn't know how to start speaking as his Adam's apple bobbed up and down multiple times wordlessly.
"So?" Taehyun pried, crossing his arms and training his sharp gaze completely on Soobin. Even I couldn't help but have a similar look because we both knew the infinite possibilities of both good and bad happening to us.
"Guys what's going on?" Yeonjun intervened this time with his brows furrowing.
"Um, it's nothing... It was just that I saw a lightening about to hit that part of the school, that's why I rushed all of you." Soobin said with a chuckle, finally turning around to face us. More like, only Yeonjun, Kai and Beomgyu.
"Ah... Yeah! That makes sense. I saw in news yesterday how lightening is getting so dangerous these days. It's targetting itself so much towards people and structures... I just hope no one got hurt at school!" Beomgyu exclaimed nodding his head to himself and patting a hand on Soobin's shoulder. "Thanks! But I guess after that... I need to relax a little and think back to what just happened..." He trailed off and massaged his forehead a little before walking into the house and up the stairs to his room.
"Well we'll know what it all was, later. But... The black thing out there seemed weird... I guess it's just lightening thing? I've never seen anything like that so I guess it is that..." Yeonjun rambled off just a second later as if to reassure his own self that it was nothing absurd or out of place. "Guys... I'll make some tea for everyone... Hyun Ae ah, help me." He sighed out and gave me a penetrating look as he took his turn towards the kitchen.
Kai who hadn't really said anything ever since we stepped into the house, only had a shrug to offer. It was weird since he was always talking so much. The incident we encountered must have shaken him enough to make him so quite. "I just need a long hot shower and sleep." He finally spoke with a shudder thinking about past events and went up the stairs as well.
Now it was only the three of us left and I couldn't help but pull Soobin by his hand and into the nearest empty room along with Taehyun, closing the door shut. "Now tell us the truth." I said smacking my lips together, my heart suddenly starting to race in anticipation of what might say.
"Exactly, and don't give us the bull of lightening. We know what absurd things can happen." Taehyun said dropping his bag at a corner.
"I didn't want this to be so soon..." Soobin finally started, closing his eyes shut as if to tell himself that it's going to be okay. "And I don't know for sure—"
"Just tell us!" I remarked feeling scared by how much time he was taking. I knew it was serious just by the paleness of his face.
"It can be the Dragon of Void." He finally stated, sliding down to take a seat on the floor.
"Dragon of Void?" Taehyun repeated after him but only as a question.
Soobin looked up and stared at both of us with a look that made my stomach churn. His eyes didn't just hold worry, they were embedded by deep underlying secrets which were shunned for a long time but now had to come to light.
"In our Universe, we always need to balance good and bad. That is why there is Heaven, and God made Lucifer rebel in order for Hell to exist. The angels had to choose a side, the ones who chose Lucifer became the fallen but the ones who chose a balance between the two... That is, embraced, both the good and the bad, they were made human Guardian Angels because humans always have both sides to them. Sometimes in portrayals when you see a human speaking to an angel and a devil in its mind, it's almost speaking to that Guardian Angel who is an eternal friend forever there with you, stating the pros and cons of a situation to you. I am one of them, and Sana and the other hyungs you met at Magic shop are one of them too, but they are higher than us as in, they are more close to Heaven even though they are work with Heaven and Hell, whereas we are more close to working with humans. And when I say Guardian Angels, there's not one, but many of many ranks and order. We are said to in the Void, and this balance of ours—of good and bad—is protected by the Dragon of Void. The famous Yin and Yang actually comes from it. If the dragon looses one part of it, the balance will go haywire and until it's settled again, the Dragon will continue hunting for its other half."
Learning about all these stuff in such a short time, almost took me in a state of daze. This seemed like a tale right out of a story book, except it wasn't. Taehyun seemed equally flabbergasted as I did so I tried to take a breather to wrap my head around the things that I just heard.
"And what happened earlier was no lightening, was it? It was the Dragon, I assume?" I asked while fiddling with my fingers.
Soobin nodded while gulping a lump formed in his throat.
"And how are we related to this?" Taehyun asked as he snapped his head back up at Soobin after seemingly taking all the information in.
"I can't tell you the reason..." He said defeatedly, hanging his head low.
"Why not?" Taehyun asked, almost getting frustrated.
"Because—" Soobin paused, closed his eyes and took a breath, "Because there are some rules and regulations of the Universe applying to the history of it. Immortals cannot help mortals with everything otherwise it would cause disruption in the balance of a mortal world and the immortal." And then he looked at me straight in the eye,
"you just need to know that a soul has experienced a lot of things and it never forgets. You are no different and just like the time never ends, so does our soul."
"What do you me—" and before I could ask anything more, Soobin clasped his hands around his neck, his eyes rolling to the back of his head as if he was just cut short of his breath and then his body just dropped on the floor, shuddering in one place, like he just faced a seizure.

A/n : I am so sorry for not updating for such a long time. I guess more than a month huh? And before anything else, I would just like to thank all of you who still stuck with me through this and even asked about my well being and enquire about my book.
I was honestly just in a state of rut. Like I wanted to do a lot of things, writing this book especially, but after college started, I kept staying so tired and motivation less by the end of the day that I just couldn't bring myself to write anything.
But anyway, glad that all of you waited, because now I'm back and lots of love and kisses to all of you who have been my beautiful supportive readers!
