SHE HAD WOKEN long before the others had, truthfully she hadn't slept a wink, tossing and turning the whole night. her body restless, and the gears within her mind turning. it was difficult to sleep, when all she could see was what she feared. all she could see was her mother, and natalia wasn't sure she was able to see that anymore. she felt broken, like her soul had been shattered and ripped apart. blood stained her hands in thick gloves, a type of glove only she could see. she'd killed her mother, she'd been the one to put a bullet between her eyes, and god it hurt. she could hardly look at her hands, she could hardly function without wanting to curl into a ball and cry until her eyes were dry, until she couldn't breath, and until she no longer felt the burning sadness that clawed at her from the inside out.

she'd made an appearance, one everyone was shocked to see. she supposed lee was right, she would only get worse if she laid in bed, unmoving letting her mind convince her of absurd things, she needed to get her mind off of it. it proved harder then she'd thought, her knee hadn't stopped bouncing since she'd sat down. her eyes were dull and bare of any sign that natalia was okay, dark puffy purple bags resided beneath her eyes. her slim fingers gently touched the puffy bags beneath her eyes, her hand dropped back to her lap with a small sigh.

being close to her new sibling, was harder then anything. the baby laid in beth's arms, it was enough for her mind to only focus on the child. watching from afar, body tensing at the sounds of her cries. a small piece of her wanted to get up each time she started to whine, wanted to get up and act like a good older sister. as quickly as those thoughts came, they'd fade, leaving her mind an empty void. no matter how much she wanted to be there for her sister, she couldn't bring herself to. she could barley look at the child, each time she did all she seen was their mother. it truly did make her want to never leave her cell, having to see the child that resembled their mother so much was difficult, and natalia wondered if she'd ever move past it.

the metal door along the wall creaked open, the sound of keys jingling catching their attention. "is everyone alright?" rick's voice suddenly carried into the cell block, it was a shock to hear or even see rick, he'd been rouge within the prison. he'd fallen into a crazed anger, killing anything that moved. natalia glanced up from where she sat on the stairs, lips pursed at the sight of her father. she hadn't seen him in nearly two days, the man off doing what she was trying to do; cope. "yeah, what about you?" hershel spoke, looking to the grimes man who had a frown on his face. clearly not wanting to speak on how he was doing. natalia presumed that was just another thing she shared in common with her father, she'd rather gouge her eyes out then have to talk about how she felt. "i cleared out the boiler block." he finally told, changing the subject his eyes looking around at the groups faces.
