This will be the last time I go against my better judgements to attend an overcrowded sports event at a college. All of these people not in an organized fashion in line is throwing me off.
"Angelo are you good?" Luca chuckled from beside me. Clearly my agitation was radiating onto others.
I just glared at him in heavy annoyance and he laughed, "you're so anti social, live a little," He said before we finally made out way to the front.
"Tickets?" The clearly bored lady said.
Luca rummaged through his pockets to get his wallet, "Any day now!" The lady said—catching us both off guard.
excuse me?
"Huh?" Luca hummed unsurely.
"There's a line here! You should've already had your tickets ready, nobody got time for that," She scoffed.
My blood was already boiling with the overstimulation from everything going on, did this bitch really want to test the waters today?
"I'm sorry i—"
"Just come on!" She screamed.
do it.
I put my hands on the small table and looked directly at her, "Who are you talking to?"
I could feel the fire on her head and she sharply turned her neck to look at me. Her only mistake was returning the eye contact.
"Who else would i—" She stopped when our eyes met.
This stare down took place for a short few minutes, her face progressively diminishing and her contagious anger cascading away.
"I-i'm sorry. I don't know what came over me i—"
"stop talking and take the tickets." I demanded forebodingly. She nodded frantically and took the tickets from Luca, "Have a nice night!" She yelled as we walked into the main room.
"Angelo?" Luca spoke up after our small moments of silence.
"Luca," I responded plainly.
"What did you do to her?" He questioned, "you just stared at her and she lost every ounce of hatred she carried—it was like you compelled her to fear you,"
"if you look at anyone the right way, it can happen. it's a trick I learned a while back," I spoke concisely—trying my best not to put too much detail in the topic.
Truthfully, having a heightened ability to convey threatening strength in nonverbal communication is something i've always been capable of, specifically with my eyes. I've been able to get any and every message across just with two pupils alone.
"If you say so," He dropped the conversation—gladly. I'm sure I got this 'talent' from my father, part of me just doesn't want to believe that though.
