The next day, I decided I was going to pay Von a visit. Majority of the problems that's about to come down on me are having to do with him, so I figured i'd talk to him.
I haven't spoken to Jeremiah in almost 2-ish days now. I've been staying the night in Luca's room, and Chief staying in me and Jeremiah's. This arrangement came to the four of us naturally-all of us mutually agreeing that we needed to be this way for now.
Once me and Jeremiah fix everything between us though, it'll all be alright.
i hope.
I approached room '213', a room that wasn't necessarily '"foreign" to me. I had been over here a few times because me and Von both expressed our laziness when it came to walking all the day down to Mr. Hugus'. So, we decided we'd meet in his room.
I knocked on the tall door, innocently standing on the other side waiting for someone to answer.
There was no answer though, strange for Von. The few times I've hung out with Von outside of tutoring, he's always been here.
I eagerly knocked again, genuinely hoping he would answer the door.
I heard light footsteps start to approach-briefly causing my heart to sink-then the doorknob clinked around until it turned open. When the door fully opened, I looked down first at Von's feet. I slowly rose up until my face met his.
I scrunched both of my eyebrows in confusion at the sight of his face, only getting a pissed off look in return.
"can i.....?"
"I don't know, Angelo, ask your nigga." He said.
Immediate bewilderment found me, what is he talking about?
"huh?"
"You sent yo nigga over to my place yesterday." He assumed incorrectly.
"What? no i didn't?" I denied in question.
"Man, get the fuck on with that lying shit. clearly it's the only thing you can do." He affronted me harshly.
He tried to close the door but I stopped him, "Von, what are you talking about?"
"Jeremiah made his way over here to beat the fuck outta me, he mentioned you were the reason and left it at that." He described the altercation, "you ain't know?"
"No! I'm not even on speaking terms with him at the moment . . ." my voice faltered, "but i would never have him hurt you."
He examined my face closely, contemplating if he wanted to continue being mad at me or not.
"Ight fine, i can't say no to you." He opened the door completely again, letting me in.
I smiled at him and he reciprocated a wantonly one himself-I ignored it.
