Aenys' life was never easy. Being named after a Targaryen king should be a great honor, but when you are named after the weakest king and only out of loyalty to King Jaehaerys, being picked on became easy for Aenys.
Aenys had been bullied by his eldest brother Forrest for years. However when word came of Prince Aerys entering the war, Forrest sent Aenys with two hundred men, likely hoping that Aenys died in the war.

Gaemon is the son of Princess Saera Targaryen and Ser Jonah Mooton. He is their mother's favorite child. Gaemon had been told stories by his mother on Westeros. Gaemon had been sent to Westeros during the Great Council to speak his claim but was shut down by King Jaehaerys, the other claimants Viserys, Rhaenys and Aerys and even his own father.
Gaemon has since only taken his mother's name and cursed all of Westeros for taking what he views is rightfully his. Gaemon is loyal only to his mother and sister and cares little for what else happens to anyone else in the world.

Viserra had always been a learned girl, like her mother and had taken to the teachings of R'hllor. She devoted herself to the lessons of the priests and swore to place Azor Ahai on the Iron Throne of Westeros.
She lusts for her brother, something that Gaemon shares and she believes that Gaemon is Azor Ahai, the warrior of light. Viserra is a clever girl and persuades those around her to see things her way, even going so far as to orchestrate Gaemon into killing their step-father with the reward being her virginity.

Peter joined the Windblown as a boy, wanting his freedom and has done anything to keep it. He is a skilled warrior who has earned the respect of his commanding officers. He holds himself in high praise, being a man who has slain not one but two bloodriders in a Dothraki horde.
However in the war of the Stepstones, Peter feels compelled to end this conflict with as many lives spared, or at least his life intact.
