it had been 2 weeks since i last seen gunner i couldn't even lie i missed him and he had been showing up on my for you page a lot and right now i think he's in illinois for the summer smash and im proud of him but i feel like the reason why i miss him so much cause the truth is i've always felt lonely but when im with him, i don't.

anyways tomorrow i start my new job and i was kinda nervous but i was happy when the manager hired me but it seemed like they were just desperate for people but they told me i would be working in the self checkout area so i had training almost all this week.

i couldn't help but to think about gunner knowing he probably wasn't thinking about me but i can't believe i let myself get so attached to him in only 2 and a half months which is kinda crazy.

as i was laying on my bed and scrolling on tiktok i came across a video of morgan lip singing nothing like uuu and the caption said "my man is gonna make it mainstream 🖤" which made me scrunch up my face because i would always hear different things about them dating or not dating but it confused me and i really hope they aren't together because 2 weeks ago we were almost making out so that would be kinda weird.

as i woke up from my nap i checked the time and it was already 10pm which was weird because i didn't even notice i fell asleep once i saw how late it was i quickly took a shower and once i got out i set my alarm for 7am and went back to sleep.

once i woke up i got ready for work and as i was eating breakfast i decided to scroll on instagram and that's when i saw someone from my school repost morgan's new post and it was a picture of her hugging gunner but he wasn't hugging her back he just kinda stood there but it still made me a little mad because he can talk to her but not me was the part that got me.

as i was driving i couldn't help to think about that post like what if they are actually dating but my thoughts interrupted due to a car almost crashing into me which made me mad so i decided to be quiet and focus the whole drive.

as i pulled up i parked in the back and went to go clock in then after some girl with long soft locs came up to me "are you yasmine" she questioned and we looked to be around the same age "yea" i said back "hi im crystal and i'll be training you" she said smiling showing her teal braces "follow me" she said then i followed her and we went out of the back and into the store and it was empty so i should be chill then once we got to the self checkouts she started to go over rules and teach me how to do things.

after 3 hours i was getting tired and crystal had left a while ago but after a few minutes i saw her come back "what time do you go on break" she asked me "at 12" i said "ok me too if you want we can go to the wingstop down the street" she said and of course i said yes because i never turn down food and plus she was so nice and it was rare for me to make friends at work so i took this opportunity.

once it hit 12 me and crystal went to go clock out before we went through the back exit "we can take my car" she said pulling out her keys and i just replied with ok "by the way i really like your necklace" she said referring to the gold 'y' around my neck "thank you and your jeans are cute too" i said "omg thank you i found these at the thrift for only like 20 dollars which was surprising considering these are vintage miss me jeans" she said then i realized we have something in common "omg i love thrifting i literally go there like once a week" i said and after that we both just started talking about things we were into.

once we got back from lunch we clocked back in and headed back to our station "finally" some dude said as we came back "shut up alex" crystal said rolling her eyes "who's that" he said pointing to me "this is yasmine she just started today" she said "oh hey im alex" he said looking me up and down before walking away "girl he so wants you" crystal said looking at me "we literally just met" i said laughing "true but we just met and i like you" she said "yea but that's different" i said before going to go help a customer since now it was getting kinda busy.

finally it hit 5pm so i clocked out and drove home i also got crystal's number she seems pretty cool and alex from earlier was kinda cute but he wasn't gunner i missed him so much even though i saw morgan's post but i miss in a friend way i guess im still trying to process that kiss.
