~*Whisper’s POV*~

I wake up under a heap of blankets. I crawl out and find I’m alone in James’s room. I look around and realize that I’m thinking normal. I smiled and jumped off the bed. I sniffed around and followed James’s scent to the kitchen where he is busy cooking.

I sit on the floor and tap my tail as I watch him. Finally he noticed me and smiles. “I’m glad you’re feeling better. Your eyes are clear again. You must be thinking clear again.”

I nodded and linked my mind. ‘Yes, but no wolf yet. Blood-Fang is silent. But I am thinking clear again. I remember a lot.’

James’s smile grew wider. “Good that your better but I’m sorry about the memory. Must be horrid to remember that cell.”

I shivered. ‘Yeah, but I had black outs. Anything could’ve happened. What happened with that doctor anyways?’

James shook his head. “He is waiting in the office. We were asleep when he got here so he stayed till I woke up. He has been waiting. But eat first.”

James set a plate full of meat in front of me and I ate slowly, savoring the taste. James ate from his own plate and watched me.

When I finished James took the plate and washed it. A few minutes later we were heading to the office. A female doctor was the only one there. The desk was cleared off.

I sat on the floor as James sat in a chair. “So, you’re making sure that Whisper is ok?”

The doctor nodded. “Yes, my name is Dr. Liz. I’ll be making sure that Whisper is healthy and fine. I’ll need you to leave.”

I looked up at James. His face showed confusion and unhappiness. “Be careful with my mate.”

James got up and left, shutting the door behind him. Liz picked me up and set me on the desk. “You’ve heavy for a wolf. Could be the collar. Alpha explained a little about it. I’m going to check all your vitals and then a few other things.”

I nodded and stayed standing while she checked me out. At one point she was feeling for any sprained muscles or joints. She felt along my stomach a little longer then my other muscles. I looked at her, questioning.

She smiled at me. “Nothing dear. You’re perfectly fine. Only thing to note is that your leg muscles are tense as if sore. But that is probably from running.”

She helped me jump off the desk before opening the office door. She told James that I was fine before she left.

I shook my head when James asked me about it. ‘Nothing. I’m fine.’

Daniel came up stairs then. “Liz told me you were fine, Whisper. Good to hear. I’m guessing our almost back to your normal self. We just need Blood-Fang now.”

I nodded and went to my room. The door was open so I went in and jumped up on my bed. I laid down and looked around. All my belongings were where they should be.

James came in and looked at me. “I want to talk to you. While we were trying got locate you, I read your journal.” James sat on the bed next to me. “I read everything and I feel bad about how I have acted and I understand why I was always hitting a nerve. I hope you can forgive me. I just missed you and Thorn didn’t help.”

I sighed and looked away. James petted my head and I looked at him. He looked sad.

For the first time, I wasn’t upset. My Journal told my life story and James read it. But he wasn’t repulsed. He asked forgiveness and continues to sit by my side.
