The next morning I woke up with a terrible headache.
It took me a while to remember what had happened the night before after Sarah left me alone, and when I remembered it the feelings of guilt and shame set in.I thought I absolutely have to talk to Lydia and thank her, especially because I ruined her evening, I think I'll do it after the rehearsal.
Entering the room I see Francesca alone arranging her things, I approach her
"Hey Francesca" he turns around
"Oh hey Helena, how's it going?" he smiles as he straightens his shirt
"Everything's fine thanks, you?"
"Everything's ok" I nod
"Um anyway I came here to ask you to tell Lydia that I have to talk to her later" she raises her eyebrows quickly which doesn't go unnoticed by me
"What?" I ask confused, she almost bursts out laughing
"It's nothing that you two make me laugh, first you yell at each other and then you talk peacefully, ah I really don't understand you" she actually isn't entirely wrong
"Well it's strange, maybe we have similar characters? I don't know, the fact is that I have to thank her so I absolutely have to talk to her" this time she looks at me confused
"Thank her for?"
"Oh never mind" she frowns and gives a shrug
"Okay" I smile at her and go back to my seat. After five minutes I see Lydia come in, I get ready for the rehearsal adjusting myself in my chair.
I decided to wear a burgundy red pencil skirt that reaches above my knees and as she takes off her jacket and hands it to Francesca, her eyes wander around the room, finally settling on me for a few more seconds.
My gaze automatically averts from her
--------------------------------------------------------
"See you tomorrow, bye" I wave at Kristine and leave
"She's waiting for you" Francesca tells me almost in a whisper, I turn towards her and nod.
She accompanies me to the door of her office and knocks on the door
"Come in" her deep voice reaches my ears, I grab the handle and open the door.
She was sitting in her chair behind the desk, one hand resting on her forehead and with her legs crossed, the things you make me think of
"Sit" she doesn't even look at me and motions for me to sit on the chair in front of her, I obey and sit down. Finally she raises her blue eyes to meet mine, her face has an incomprehensible expression
"What did you want?" she puts her hands in her pockets
"To thank you" my voice comes out like a plea, she nods and smiles slightly
"I'm sorry you had to worry about me, there was no need"
"Apparently yes, you were alone in the middle of a sidewalk, anyone could have grabbed you and hurt you" I feel the heat rise on my cheeks
"I know, I was just getting some air"
"A kiss that was too frantic" she comments in a very low voice as if she were talking to herself, but which I can still hear
"What?" she looks at me and smirks
"You told me you didn't want me and that kissing me was a mistake, I think you mistook me for another woman" my mouth drops, I have no memory of saying these things
"God I'm sorry" she laughs lightly
"It's funny that a short time later you told me the complete opposite" holy shit, what the fuck did I tell her?
