Hi guys, sorry if I posted late, but I'm really busy with school these days.Sorry again and enjoy the chapter!
"What a drag" I say, snorting and looking at the thermometer in my hands which shows the temperature at 38C°.
The day after we came back I had a bit of a cold and here I am some days later with a flu, I have a fever and a cold, in plus even my period, how lucky..
Since this morning I have been lying on the sofa without the physical strength to do anything, I can't even move due to all the muscle and bone pain. I sit up but my head immediately spins, I read Sarah's message telling me she's coming, I told her it wasn't necessary for her to come but she wanted to come anyway.
I also wrote to Lydia advising her that I wouldn't be coming to the rehearsals due to the flu, she still hasn't responded to me. I kinda miss her, after those two heavenly days when it was just the two of us I feel that something has been unlocked between us.
Obviously we continue to see each other in her studio or home.I hear the bunch of keys turning the lock and soon I find Sarah in the house
"Damn you're really sick" she says coming closer and looking at my face, I snort
"Thanks for telling me I'm ugly" I tell her laughing, she shakes her head and takes off her coat
"Who has to see you anyway" she says going into the kitchen and opening the fridge
"What do you want for lunch anyway? I'll go shopping now if you give me the money" I nod and get up from the sofa staggering a little and putting the blanket around me like a cloak, I go into the room and grab my wallet
"Here, get me the soup, thanks" I tell her, handing her the money and lying back on the sofa like a dead man, she says goodbye and goes out to do the shopping.
I let myself fall onto the sofa pillow and close my eyes to rest a little. When I reopen them the smell of chicken soup invades my nostrils, I yawn and put my hands on my face
"Good morning little flower" Sarah says as she approaches me
"God, what time is it?" I ask her, looking for my phone on the couch
"It's one o'clock, come and eat, I've made soup for you" she says, holding out a hand to help me get up with my head spinning like crazy, I grab it and we go to the kitchen together. I sit at the table in front of the not very beautiful chicken soup
"What are you eating?" I ask her, she shrugs
"I got a pizza on the way home" she replies, I nod and start eating
"Did you take the tachypirin?" she asks me. I shake my head and grab the package a short distance away from me.I snort and take the small white pill, swallowing it with a little water. The ringing of my phone breaks the silence
"I'll go get it" Sarah says, standing up
"Oh look who it is" she returns smiling and with my phone in hand, I look at the screen trying to read, I grab it and read
"Lydia?" I answer her call, Sarah turns around and leaves the room smiling, leaving me alone
"Hey, how are you?" she replies, I bring my legs to my chest
"Not well, I have the flu" I reply, stirring the soup with the spoon
"Damn I'm sorry"
"I miss you" I tell her suddenly without even thinking, I hear her let out a light sweet laugh
"I'll see you soon don't worry" she replies to me, I pout
"Have you finished the rehearsal?" I ask her, grabbing a spoonful of soup
"Yes we're done, this afternoon I have a few things to do including finishing the score" I hum in response
"Okay, I'll talk to you later then," I tell her
"Sure, take care and rest" she replies before saying goodbye and ending the call.I put the phone on the table and put the soup away, I don't take it anymore
"So? What did your girlfriend tell you" Sarah comes back smiling as before, I roll my eyes, taking the blanket placed on the chair and putting it on me like a cloak
"She wanted to know how I was" Sarah raises her eyebrows and nods
"I'm going to rest in my room, I have a headache that's killing me"
"Okay, I have to go in almost an hour, will I wake you up or let you sleep?"
"No, don't wake me, thanks for everything" I say, smiling at her and then locking myself in the room to sleep.
Sarah's POV
As I collect all my things to leave for work I hear the doorbell ring.
Helena hadn't told me she was expecting visitors
"Who is?" I say as I open the door and find myself face to face with Lydia
"Oh hi Lydia" I greet her surprised to see her, she smiles at me
"Hi, is Helena here?" she asks me, I make room for her to enter the house
"Yes, she's in the room sleeping" I tell her, lowering my voice
"Understood" she tells me nodding and going to sit on the sofa, I take my jacket instead
"I'm leaving for work, if you want I'll wake her up and let her know you've arrived" I tell her
"Yes, thank you and wait" she says, getting up from the sofa and approaching me
"Thank you for helping me with the flowers for her birthday" she says smiling at me, I smile at her
"Very pleased to have helped you, she really liked them, you know" I tell her, she smiles and looks down
"Well, I'm happy" she replies and moves away from me, I look at her and then go to wake up Helena, I'm changing my mind about her.I get to the door and knock before entering
"Helena, wake up" I tell her, approaching her slowly, she hums and snorts
"I told you not to wake me" she tells me with her voice thick with sleep, I laugh
"You have someone waiting for you, I'm going have a nice day" I tell her leaving her confused and then leaving the house to leave them alone.
Helena's POV
What does she mean there's someone waiting for me? Confused I get up and look in the mirror to tidy myself up, then I head into the living room, my heart skips a beat when I see Lydia
"What are you doing here?" I ask her frowning, she turns and smiles at me
"Hello darling" she says to me coming closer and trying to hug me but I move away
"No, you'll get sick" I tell her, she scoffs and grabs my cheek leaving a kiss directly on my lips
"I don't care" she replies, leaving a kiss on my fever-hot forehead, I blush
"I'm in horrible shape, sorry" I tell her following her to sit on the couch, she frowns
"That's not true, you're beautiful in every way" she says putting her arm around me and pulling me closer to her.I crouch on her body resting my head on her chest and intertwining my hand with her
"To what do I owe this visit?" I ask her, standing up to look at her, she shrugs
"Do I have to have a reason to see you?" she asks me, I snort
"No, but you will get sick if we are so close" I tell her
"And I told you I don't care" she replies, grabbing my hand and letting me fall back onto her body
"I missed you" she whispers in my ear, I blush like a pepper, hugging her body even more.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" she asks, moving my hair out of my face, I nod, looking at the television
"Let's watch Annihilation, I love that movie" I tell her grabbing the remote, she nods.
I press the start button and also turn off the lights in the room to create a more movie-like atmosphere.
In the silence that surrounds us, our breaths align and our heartbeats are in tune, hearing the noise of her heart cradles me. At a certain point I feel her hand start to caress my back, I close my eyes in pleasure
"No please, I'll end up falling asleep" I tell her laughing but she continues
"It's okay, don't worry" she replies almost whispering and continuing with her movements, I try to stay awake but I'll be hard pressed for a long time
"But didn't you have things to do today?" I tell her almost half asleep, I hear her laughing
"Don't worry about the things I have to do" she replies, also stroking my hair, I smile, shaking her hand and falling into a doze. Before falling into a deep sleep I feel her grab a blanket and place it over our bodies, creating a cozy warmth.
