Fortunately she did not get ill, despite the repeated kisses exchanged and the closeness.I notice now that she is standing on stage that the tip of her nose is slightly red, due to the fact that she has a slight cold, but beyond that I haven't given her anything else.

After the rehearsal I go to try on the bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding. In fact, in two months, they decide to get married in Finland, their favorite place where he proposed to her.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to participate in the proposal, but I will definitely be there at the wedding even if I still have to officially communicate it to Lydia, in fact I had mentioned something to her but I didn't tell her the precise week in which I will be leaving. I don't know which bridesmaid dress they chose, I'm curious to go and see it, in fact, the shop is about half an hour from here.

"Hey, I'm going, see you tomorrow" I tell Lydia as I walk over and touch her shoulder, she turns and grabs my wrist

"Where are you going? Do you want to come to me?" she asks me, cracking a smile, I snort ironically

"I have to go try on the bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding" I reply, she nods and looks around the room, then motions for me to leave the room

"Let me know how it goes then, although I'm sure it will look lovely on you" she leans in and quickly leaves me a kiss on the lips

"I don't even know what the dress is like" I tell her, pulling away and smiling at her, she looks around to make sure no one saw us

"Everything is fine on you"

"Pimp" I tell her jokingly, leaving a quick kiss on the lips to say goodbye

Sarah also came to help, she won't be at the wedding but anyway I asked her if she could give me a hand with the dress.

The dress is ankle length, has no slits on the skirt and is strapless, it just has matching lace gloves.
The color is a dark midnight blue, and on top, since the weather will be cold, I will have a matching shawl in the same color

"Oh god" Sarah exclaims, her eyes widening with joy and looking at me, she stands up to come closer

"How is it?" I ask her looking at her through the dressing room mirror, she smiles touching the fabric

"It's perfect, it's exactly your color" she replies and I smile at her.
Meanwhile, the assistant adjusts the dress with pliers and takes measurements for where it needs to be shortened. I see Sarah motioning for me to pose to take my photo

"Send it to Lydia" she says, raising her eyebrows teasingly as I approach her, tap her on the shoulder, and reach for her phone to see the photo.

"Oh God no" I tell her pressing the off button on her phone to make my photo disappear from her screen

"Come on, let's go" I tell her, getting up.

I write to my brother that the dress fitting went well and I write to her too.
I tell her that I really like the dress and it fits me well

"Send me a photo" I read her message out loud as Sarah is driving to take me home, she lets out a laugh

"You see I was right to take the photo" she tells me

"Shut up" I tell her, closing the phone

"Are you seeing each other now?" she asks me, changing the subject, I shrug, looking at the gray weather outside

"Maybe" I reply

"Things are getting serious I see" she tells me I frown and turn to look at her

"What do you mean"

"Well she took you to dinner on your birthday, with a weekend included she brought you flowers, she looked after you while you were sick" she starts listing Lydia's actions, I smile at the thought to myself

"It seems like you guys are girlfriends you know" she says laughing, I snort

"Maybe" I reply, she becomes serious for a moment and taking advantage of the red light she turns to look at me

"Try it Helena" she says placing a hand on my knee, I shake my head

"And how should I? She's just being nice to me, you'll see that the week I'm away for the wedding she won't even write to me" I reply, adjusting myself on the seat, she shakes her head

"You're incredible" she replies ending the conversation, leaving as soon as the green light comes on.
After a few minutes we are outside my house

"Thank you for accompanying me" I say, leaving a kiss on her cheek, she grabs my arm

"Know, dear friend, that if you don't declare yourself, I will do it for you" she tells me with a bitter smile, I widen my eyes.

"What? Don't even try" I reply, she nods

"Oh yes I do, you look like a teenage girl who has never been in love" she replies mockingly, I roll my eyes

"Sarah stop it"

"No, you have to stop" she replies, I exhale loudly and undo my seat belt and get out of the car, but she, lowering the window, calls my attention

"Wait I want to make a deal" she says to me, I turn around confused

"And?" I tell her, she smiles toothily

"You invite her to come with you to your brother's wedding" I burst out laughing, holding on to the car door

"Are you crazy? I don't even know if my brother will accept" I tell her amazed, she shrugs

"I repeat, either you tell her or I tell her, your choice!" she tells me and then rolls up the window and drives off again without giving me time to replyI quickly go back into the house and, closing the door behind me, I snort.

Opening my phone I see the notification from Lydia telling me that she would be with me in half an hour.Putting my hands in my hair I start thinking about what to do.

Asking her to come with me is an absurd idea but never as absurd as the idea of Sarah going to tell her certain things. I don't even know if my brother would accept.

But a holiday, me and her alone, in Finland, in a little house in the snow...

I grab the phone and dial my brother's number

"Hello?" his voice replies

"Hey how are you?" I ask him, opening the conversation as I nervously walk around the living room

"Good thanks, you?"

"Me too" I reply, then leaving room for an awkward silence

"Look, I wanted to ask you something" I start

"I understood it, just tell me" he tells me laughing, I laugh nervously too

"Is it a problem if I bring someone to the wedding?" I ask him, narrowing my eyes in fear of the answer, I feel him go silent

"No, why, who do you want to bring?" he answers me, a toothy smile paints itself on my face

"Uh no one, I'll explain later, I don't even know if she'll come" I reply starting to arrange the sofa

"Mhh, new girlfriend? I want to meet her" he says to me, I roll my eyes laughing

"She's not my girlfriend! She's nobody for now" I reply

"If she wasn't really anyone, you wouldn't have asked me to take her with me to the wedding" he replies laughing, I stop surprised by his answer

"Okay, of course you can bring it, let me know, have a good evening" he breaks again the silence

"Good evening to you too and thank you very much" I reply quickly before ending the call and throwing the phone on the sofaNow all I have to do is tell her, who, as if by coincidence, has just arrived at my door ringing the bell

"Hey baby" she greets me by grabbing my cheek and kissing me, I kiss her back passionately

"Wow, someone is eager" her voice darkens and lowers as she closes the door behind her with her hand, I hold her closer to me pulling her by the sides of her coat

"Mhh maybe" I whisper biting her lip and then immediately move away from her, she closes her eyes and licks her lips coming closer to me pulling me by the hips making us fall on the sofa.
She puts me astride her

"Lydia" I call her as she is busy running her lips all over my neck

"Lydia wait" I repeat, this time almost moaning at the patch of skin under her teeth

"Mh" she mumbles, lifting her head to look at me

"I have a proposal" I tell her, she raises her eyebrows with a surprised expression

"Tell me everything" she replies caressing my inner thigh, my eyes fixate on hers

"Would you like to accompany me to my brother's wedding?" I ask her, she stays still looking at me while the movement of herhand on my thigh stops, my expression darkens in fear of her refusal

"It would be wonderful" she starts, adjusting herself better and looking into my eyes

"I have to see about the commitments, I don't know if I can do it" she tells me taking my hands in hers, I nod feeling a little sad even though I already knew the answer would be no

"Hey, darling, it's not a no" she says almost reading my mind, I look up and smile at her

"Yes, I understand, it's just that" I start to say and then stop, not actually knowing what I wanted to say to her

"That?" she asks, raising her eyebrows, my face lowers to almost touch hers a few centimeters away

"It's just that I need you, I want to be with you" I tell her touching her lips, she rubs her lips down until they return to my neck, precisely under my ear

"I will do everything I can to be with you"
