Two Worlds Apart

Chapter 73

"Courtney careful" Brie, one of the design crew members said with a chuckle as she held my hands to keep me from falling.

I pant a bit "thank you Brie" I could have fallen flat just now

"Why are you even running?"

Why was I running again?

"I have a live interview downstairs in 15 minutes and I have to check out some sketches from your department before going"

"Even though, you shouldn't be running. What if something happened to the baby?"

I roll my eyes "nothing will happen, Brie. Stop being so sweet and worrying about me all the time" I couldn't help but smile

She chuckles and slowly let's go off my hand "that's what friends do Courtney. Hurry up and check out the sketches since it's a live interview"

I nod and quickly made my way into her department.

You must be wondering how she knew I was pregnant, right? The entire company knew I was pregnant....my bump was out already!! It's been four months now since I first came to MFE and I most admit that there are a lot of lovely people here, how did I not notice them before?

My little baby bump was showing now it was hard to not notice, so I had to beg Morgan to help me tell the interviewers to try their possible best not to let my baby bump show, the interview was going to be shown world wide, reason being that I haven't been formally introduced to the world as MFE's new fashion designer so Morgan booked the interview and I was running late

"Josh Josh, where are the sketches...quick my interview is in 12 minutes"

He raises a brow "what sketch?"

I frown "Josh, not right now... I'm begging you"

He spins around on his chair "I have no idea what you're talking about"

I pick up a book from his table, roll I up and start hitting him on the head with it

"Ouch ouch, okay calm down!" He snatches it from me "always so violent"

He brings out the sketches from his drawer and hands them over

I closely observe each and every one of them

"Okay" I place them in front of him "these three are perfect. I love the designs, the outfit details and the whole look of the outfits...although, Clinton would be the one to make the fabric choices. As for these two...I don't really like details, it stands out too much and not in a good way"

He nods "we'll fix that up"

I nod and hand them over to him

"Good luck on your interview" he smiled

"After you've wasted two minutes out of it" I hurry off and enter the elevator, heading to the ground floor. I walk past everyone and into the room where the cameras where being set up

"There you are" Morgan said "hurry, sit"

I sit down in front of the already set camera. Someone helped set the mics for both I and the interviewer while another helped "touch up" my makeup...make up I wasn't even wearing

I ran my fingers through my hair to help it sit properly....did I mention it had grown a lot lately?

"Okay starting in 3, 2, 1" the red light on the camera came on

"Hello, good morning New York and beyond. This is Julia Samuels and with me is an extremely special guest. It has been trending for quite a while now that MFE has a new member who is filling the role of the new fashion designer and I am here to today to interview her specially" she turned to me with a smile "Hello Courtney, how're you?"
